#Lunatics #trUST?Terra had to be taken out ☠️
Why? Qui bono?
The Fed is now in the midst of battling record high inflation.
Traditionally inflation had been managed through quantitative tightening, mainly by the manipulation of interest rates (the main form of money creation in a fractional reserve banking system).
Interest rates go down, more people borrow; more money is created as there is less risk in taking on debt.
Interest rates go up and people become less eager to take on debt, which had always effectively slowed down money creation.
An often recited threat of Bitcoin adoption and to some extent cryptocurrency on the whole, is that it undermines a country's fiscal authority / autonomy.
Until mainstream adoption is achieved we are a long ways off from that threat materialising.
However, there is a special class of crypto currencies that have become something other than a volatile asset upon which people risk their hard earned cash & speculate.
The attempts at creating digital mediums of settlement / dollar equivalents have all failed until BTC/Satoshi. For the simple reason that the USG would not let them be…
USDT & USDC are supposedly asset backed and essentially American companies.
They must abide to the follies/mandates of the US government.
If Uncle Sam decided to seize their assets/pull the plug on their operations...?
Terra/Luna is a Korean/Singaporean digital counterfeit mill that not only had assumed "as good as the dollar" status, but gave unprecedented interest on their counterfeit by means of @anchor_protocol.
The Terra Luna founders combat the US court's subpoena by counter litigation
TERRA/LUNA's existence can be framed as a hostile threat by a foreign agency and given the contentious state of the financial climate and the backlash faced by the SEC's attempts at any kind of crypto regulation…
Terra/Luna had to be exterminated expediently and covertly.
Engineer the collapse of a Blockchain/Defi ecosystem or sit back and watch your own economy tumble into a Recession
