The official announcement is out and BBS 3.1.2 is in the air. With the announcement , this years Valentine's Day is going to be filled with more love for us BBS geeks with the BBS Token Auction coming on Feb 14.

1. BBS Token Auction on Copper
The BBS Token is to be auctioned on Copper ( link in official announcement ) for 3 days from Feb 14. This will be a chance for everyone to get their hands on the token. So spread the gospel.
All raised funds will be used for locked LP as BBS aims for high liquidity. The BBS SHO concluded with marvelous results recently and this will be the next step in the ladder of its growth.

2. Engagement Mining Subsidy
The bread and butter of BBS is its ad model. The banner leasing may not be as effective as other existing models as of now, but it sure will be refined in the coming stages. It is possible for users to display their own ads in the space. But with the CPM costs it was a hassle from the last update.
Now this budget is subsidized for selected boards or rather the CPM will be boosted to reach a certain threshold. This ensure proper CPM for ads and incentivize users to try out the feature. We can now even bet on 1 CPM , but there will be competition soon.
In my personal opinion everyone should be focusing on this aspect from now on as it is also an important part of BBS.

One other thing I noticed is that the notification alert text are all bold now. I personally dislike it and almost sure it may not be an intended change.
Edit : Apart from the bold text, each notification can now be opened in a seperate tab. This is a huge relief. Thanks to @vi5hall for pointing this out.

With the new update , I believe more participation in terms of advertising will be there from users. The BBS Token Auction is a great news. And surely it will be a milestone in BBS journey.

Within the coming days I urge all of the users to try out the advertising system. It costs " CASHABLE " , Be aware !
