📌 GUCCI to accept crypto payments

Gucci after dipping its toes into the metaverse, gaming, and NFTs, have decided to take another experiment with technology. Following the likes of fellow fashion brands like Off White and Philipp Plein, GUCCI has decided to accept payments in cryptocurrency.

For the time being, the stores located in LA, Miami, Las Vegas and New York will take payments in crypto currency. Payments will be accepted in more than ten different currencies which are Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Wrapped Bitcoin, Litecoin, Shiba Inu and Dogecoin and five stablecoins pegged to the US dollar are among the list

So how will user avail this facility?

Customers who opts for crypto payment will receive a link via email, containing a QR code that will then allow them to pay using their respective crypto wallets.

"Gucci is always looking to embrace new technologies when they can provide an enhanced experience for our customers, Now that we are able to integrate cryptocurrencies within our payment system, it is a natural evolution for those customers who would like to have this option available to them." said Marco Bizzarri, Gucci president and CEO.
