OK, so 2 months in give or take here's my lowdown on what makes posts successful or not. In my opinion.

There are a number of things that make a successful post, so carry on reading and I will fill you in.

SUBJECT

So wether it's an article, meme or you just discussing something that interests or concerns you, make it original.

If people see or read a post that they feel has a personal touch the more likely they are to read it, thus engage with it.

If you can Add humour everybody loves to laugh, after all this is the Banter group.

Add something that makes people ask questions within the actual post, then ask questions at the end.

LAYOUT

  1. Headline- Ensure it draws the eye, you can even add emoticons to make it stand out.
  2. Dont give everything away in the first sentence, make sure your audience wants to open the post.
  3.  Break the post up, all well and good writing a article but when its sentence after sentence people get bored quickly.
  4. Pictures- everyone likes a picture, these can be used to break the page up, capture the eye, draw the audience. Use more than 3, as the most it'll show in the feed is 3. To see the rest you have to open the post, try ensure they are relevant to the post.
  5. Videos- to view it, the post needs to be opened. Using tips 1 and 2 you can help increase the chance of this happening.

This post >>>HERE<<< goes Into detail on how to use the tools available to make your post appealing.

OK so you have the basics, now I'm going to list some examples of successful posts explaining why, in no specific order.

1. So this was a post by me , about BBS, and how it would work in the future.

I think it did so well as it was a subject most were thinking about. Is this all worth our time? Even got some feedback by Eyal the owner of BBS In the comments.

2. Arguably the most helpful post in Banter, do I need to say anymore? 🤔

3. Probably the funniest post I've seen, if you been here a while you'll get what I mean.

4. Debated putting this one in, but how could I not, the most successful post within banter.

A stroke of genius.

5. This post literally has all the information needed within to get your head around BBS.

LAST OF ALL, BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY, ENGAGE, LAUGH AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER AND WE ALL SUCCEED

Questions and thoughts always invited
