Warning : The steps below involve selling BBS tokens for buying ETH, so gas fees can be paid!
Selling BBS tokens is not a very smart decision IMO ATM, proceed further only after considering every other possible option.
Using these steps is almost pointless if u have less than $1000 worth of BBS tokens, u will be better keeping it unstaked than following below mentioned method.
(You can also buy ETH directly from Metamask using debit card,Wire transfer,etc that will be always a better option than selling BBS)
1) For simplicity, lets assume you have $1000 worth of BBS tokens, Then first step is splitting it into 2 parts.

2) Now follow the steps in below mentioned LINK to move this $800 worth of tokens to your metamask.
According to current BBS withdrawal fees of 340 BBS, out of $800 you will receive around $760 worth of tokens into your metamask account .
3) Now u need to move the remaining $200 worth of tokens to your Coinbase account. Inorder to do that, follow the below LINK
4) Once you see your $200 into your coinbase account, Exchange them all for Ethereum.
In coinbase direct EOS - ETH trading pair is not available, so first trade your EOS for USDT, then all of the USDT for ETH (Trading usually costs about 0.1 - 0.4% on any exchange)
(In some countries you require to do KYC at coinbase for trading/doing this swaps.
In case u don't want to do KYC there, send the EOS tokens to any of your exchange of choice like Binance and continue the further steps there!)
Note: Withdrawing through coinbase, and sending EOS tokens from exchange to exchange costs just few Cents, so feel free to do test transactions inorder to get comfortable!
5) Once you have your ETH, go to your Coinbase Homescreen / dashbord, click on SEND/RECIEVE option on the top-right of the screen.
In the newly opened menu, make sure to be in Send TAB.
Click on Pay with
Search and select ETH
Enter the metamask address (where u sent your rest BBS tokens)
Note : The transaction may cost upto $20, so u will receive about $180 worth of ETH into your metamask account.
(Staking usually requires 40-60 USD of GAS fees, however having 3 times of that ensures you can claim your rewards later on from staking as that will require GAS fees too!)
6) Finally now u have $760 worth ot BBS tokens as well as $180 of ETH to pay the gas fees.
You can stake entire of your $760 for any amount of period you are comfortable with.
