12 Ways to Make Running Fun

“Running is boring.”

"I have no time to run"

"I got better things to do"

Does these sound familiar to you?

Well, how do you think you can make your running more fun?

Try to apply the below ways to make your running more motivating.

1.  Slow Down

Running can be quite enjoyable regardless of your running experience. Kids run too. Many beginner runners start off at a sprint, but quickly flame out. And, many fall out of love with running

So, what is the best way for beginners? Walk a bit and run a bit.  Don't overly stress to compete for certain distance within a certain time. Enjoy the scenery along the journey.

2. Get a Running App

You can find tons of fun, cheap (often free) , but the real exciting ones are those who get paid by walking or running. You can start using right away to make your run more fun and rewarding

These apps pay you crypto to run and here are two apps which I researched and use them for past couple of months.  They work well so far.

đŸ‘‰ Sign Up Step.App - My Primary Move To Earn App

  • I use Step.App as my primary Move To Earn app to earn fat points daily. You will only have until end of Oct 2022 to accumulate fat points so that these points can be converted to  $KCAL for you to acquire NFT sneakers from the Step.App marketplace. Step.App Mainnet launch will be fixed on 1st Dec 2022.

👉Install SweatCoin Mobile App. - My Second Move To Earn App

Remember To link your sweat wallet app with Sweat Coin App now. Choose iOS or android.

3. Reward Yourself For Some Progress

Rewards can motivate a person to do more over time. Running is no exception. Your achievement DO NOT have to be big to call for celebration. Be happy in everything we do —even with some progress. Some examples can be

  • Take a longer nap,
  • Watch Netflix
  • Shopping for your running outfits
  • Having dinner out with a friend,
  • Spending the evening at the movies.

3. Take a Break and Space Out

Feeling a bit burned out? Running need not need to be a daily routine if you have not reached to that passionate level yet. It may be the time to space out your running intervals e.g. 2-3 times a week. The time you are not running may energize you further to run later.

4. Get The Right Gear

Want to make running more fun (or just less painful)?

Get the right gear as it’s key for helping you avoid pain and injury.

For instance, ill-fitting running shoes can lead to blisters, black toenails, and serious overuse injuries.

Clothing also matters. Essential items include breathable and waterproof shirts, pocketed leggings as well as clothing for different weathers.

To me, I am even more particular on putting on which NFT sneaker to boost my energy in my favourite move to earn app.

5. Set The Right Goals

Before you start running or decide to take your running to the next level, you’ve to have an idea about what you want to achieve.

Do you want to lose weight?

Are you looking to improve your 5K timing?

Do you want to be a role model for your kids?

You have to know your goals then set the right ones.

By doing so, you give yourself something to work toward— even when that inner mind chatter suggests otherwise.

Just know that running goals don’t have to be that complicated.

In fact, they can be as simple as running three times per week or losing 15 pounds.

6. Change up Your Running Routine

Another simple thing you can do to make running more fun is to explore a new running route.

This will definitely spark drastic changes in your attitude and approach toward the sport.

Look up an open road, a new trail, or a state park—preferably where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.

You should also keep changing your running routes on a regular basis—never let routine settle in.

7.  Run at Night

Yes, you heard that right.

Maybe this is something you have never done, and not considering to do anytime soon.

Of course, be careful with —especially if you fear for your safety.

To err on the side of caution, run in safe and well-lit areas while wearing reflective gear (even a headlamp if you had to).

You should also consider partnering up with a running buddy or group for extra safety.

8.  Join runner interest group or club

Join a running club.

Befriend other runners.

 9. Watch TV on the Treadmill In A Gym.

Feeling bored on the treadmill?

Try this. Need more structure for your treadmill workout?

10. Listen to Music

I’m not a big fan of music. But I know many like to put on their MP4 while jogging. And, they can jog for a longer distance.

11. Keep Brisk Walking In A Large Shopping Mall

I am not sure about others. Sometimes, i will brisk walk for a long time in a large shopping mall. Keep walking in sheltered airconditioned shopping mall without feeling tired at all.

12. Steps Challenge

Running to get in shape is one thing.

You can also train to take on a monthly  250K step challenge and get some rewards too.
