Eden Talk is a community forum to discuss Eden, EOS, and fractal democracy!
Eden Talk has an intuitive and feature rich website that is similar to Reddit, but with many helpful, unique Web3 features that are only possible with the power of EOS. All posts on BBS are recorded onto the EOS blockchain. If a proposal is approved, community members may be able to earn EDEN respect tokens by making helpful posts on Eden Talk.
The name Eden Talk is a homage to Bitcoin Talk, the original Bitcoin forums where here Eden, EOS, and ƒractally founder Daniel Larimer communicated with the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. In 2010 Satoshi told Daniel the now famous line, “If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.” It is fitting that the birthplace true democracy pays homage to the birthplace of cryptocurrency. The next generation of DAOs pays respect with a similar namesake to the first DAO. We respect those who came before us and built the world as we stand on the shoulders of giants. But wait, there’s more homage here, homie! The name could also be considered as homage to Bitshares Talk, the discussion forum for the first DEX where Daniel Larimer engaged in dialectic with Vitalik Buterin, founder of Ethereum. It is indeed quite fitting that these discussions that these discussions around the birth of Web3 would be housed in a place with a similar name for the frontier of Web3 in 2022.
Eden Talk is powered by BBS, a wonderfully helpful Web3 social media application built on EOS. In line with all the other historical references so far, the name BBS is a homage to early Bulletin Board Systems, which provided the foundation of community interaction on the internet since the 1970s.
