Consortium Poll:
More Equal Animals is a profoundly helpful and insightful book written by Daniel Larimer, founder of Eden, ƒractally, and EOS. This book is at the foundation of the Eden community and inspired the birth of fractal democracy. It provides deep wisdom that should be studied closely to help each of us better understand problems, engineer freedom, and create a far more enjoyable world for all!
However, this book is not curated very well and it is a challenge to make the ideas in the book more accessible for a wider audience. There are so many insightful sentences, paragraphs, and chapters of this book that take time to absorb and require repeated reading to thoroughly internalize. Eventually it will be great to curate and produce a wide variety of engaging content to help people understand the wisdom in this book.
So far there is a large amount of content about More Equal Animals from a relatively small group of enthusiasts who love the ideas in the book. In addition to hardcover and PDF version of the book released by Dan Larimer, Chuck MacDonald volunteered to record an audiobook. Several founding members of Eden created Unpacking More Equal Animals videos. Nuno makes great art. You can see an early version of a webpage to curate More Equal Animals resources like these at EdenCreators.com/moreequalanimals or EdenCreators.com/mea.
Eventually it will be awesome to have a wide variety of all kinds of exciting and engaging education content to help people learn about the book. For now, we should take it one step at a time. One of the most popular places to listen to audiobooks is YouTube and it is uploaded there, but the recording is over seven hours long and does not have comprehensive timestamps. This makes it more difficult to listen, share, and curate the audiobook for others.
We propose a reward of 5 EDEN Respect for whoever is the first person to make timestamps for each chapter on the YouTube video. There are many more proposals that we can propose in the future to curate more wisdom from this book, but creating timestamps for chapters a foundational first step for the future to make all creation easier for everyone in the future. In order to receive the EDEN Respect tokens, the curator would need to be approved with consensus of the community. Reward distribution is subject to the approval of Eden ƒractal.
Timestamps may be referenced with telegram audio to make the job easier. There are also auto-generated timestamp moments generated already by YouTube, as you can see in the screenshot below. However, these only exist for the first two hours, are not in the YouTube description, and are easy to overlook.
Here is the Youtube video.

Here are some additional tasks that aren’t required for this proposal, but would also be very helpful for the community. There are also some potential amounts for future rewards in later proposals. Please note that the current proposal does not necessarily include the following.
More Equal Animals is an excellent way to start as this first proposal for content curation. After successfully completing this task, we could make similar proposals for ƒractally whitepaper, nonviolent communication (edencreators.com/nvc), natural giving, smart contracts (edencreators.com/smartcontracts), fractal governance, etc.
Many of these jobs are fairly easy to do and provide great learning experiences for all, including the content curator and the audience. Content curator will be a major job in fractal communities….
