He believes that India's current fulfillment within the BorderGavaskar Trophy has intensified the opposition. India has won the remaining two Test series in opposition to Australia in Australia, each via a 2-1 margin (2018-19 and 2020-21). Additionally, India has received the last 4 BorderGavaskar collection, which include their victories at domestic in 2016-17 and 2022-23.

However, he also mentioned that with the rise of Indian cricket and the have an impact on of the IPL, Australia now feels the identical way about beating India. With both teams being on the top of their sport every series is unpredictable and fiercely competitive. However, large names like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will not be participating, which has sparked some dialogue.
Former India cricketer Suresh Raina expressed his opinion that pinnacle gamers ought to have participated within the Duleep Trophy. He believes that playing four-day cricket earlier than an critical Test series could help players adjust to the conditions, mainly because they have not played pink-ball cricket because the IPL. Raina referred to that even as circle of relatives time is important, taking part on this match would have been useful for the imminent Test series against Bangladesh, which begins on September 19. I think even as it is comprehensible that a few gamers might choose to bypass the Duleep Trophy for personal motives, collaborating in it is able to had been a very good manner to stay in shape and get used to the longer layout of the game. This is mainly essential with the Test series in opposition to Bangladesh and the tough fits in opposition to Australia developing. THANK you đSep 1, 2024 CriC TalK Praveen Jayawickrama, a 25-12 months-vintage Sri Lankan spinner, has been charged via the International Cricket Council (ICC) with 3 violations of the anti-corruption code. The charges are connected to his failure to record an technique to restore fits and his try and obstruct an ongoing investigation. According to the ICC, Jayawickrama changed into approached to restoration worldwide fits for the duration of the 2021 season of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Moreover, he became requested to convince some other participant to have interaction in fit-solving sports during the equal match.
One of the maximum extreme accusations is that Jayawickrama allegedly deleted messages associated with the corrupt approaches, that is visible as an attempt to cowl up the state of affairs. The ICC emphasised the severity of these costs, that could have sizeable outcomes now not handiest for the participant however also for the integrity of the game. Jayawickrama has 14 days, starting from August 6, 2024, to respond to the expenses.
Jayawickrama made his worldwide debut in April 2021 and without delay made a mark through taking 11 wickets in his first Test healthy in opposition to Bangladesh. However, he hasnât performed for Sri Lanka on the worldwide degree in view that June 2022, which may have impacted his career and involvement in cricket.
In my view it's continually disappointing to look young skills like Jayawickrama getting worried in such situations. Cricket, like all game, is based closely on agree with and integrity, and when gamers engage in or maybe bear in mind match-solving, it damages the entire game. Regardless of the outcome of the research, this situation is a reminder of the way essential it's far for players to record any corrupt processes without delay to preserve the fairness and spirit of the game.
THANK you đșAug 8, 2024 CriC TalK Charith Asalanka won his second successive toss as Sri Lanka's ODI captain, against Rohit Sharma's India âą
ï»żï»żIn the second one ODI among Sri Lanka and India, Sri Lanka received the toss and determined to bat first. Their captain, Charith Asalanka, idea it changed into a excellent desire because the pitch at R Premadasa Stadium is expected to assist spinners more because the fit goes on. This decision came after a exciting tie inside the first fit of the collection.
Sri Lanka made two modifications to their institution. One become essential because of the truth Wanindu Hasaranga, their leg-spinner, had been given injured. Jeffrey Vandersay, every different leg-spinner, changed him. The different trade become to conform to the pitch conditions. Kamindu Mendis, a batting all-rounder who can bowl spin, changed fast bowler Mohamed Shiraz. This intended Sri Lanka could have handiest one important fast bowler, Asitha Fernando, but they have 5 spin options including their captain Asalanka, who did nicely within the first in shape by taking 3 wickets.
India, then again, decided to maintain their group the same. Their captain, Rohit Sharma, emphasized the importance of being adaptable, in particular considering the fact that they were set to chase runs again underneath difficult situations.
The gambling XI for Sri Lanka consists of Pathum Nissanka, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis (wicketkeeper), Sadeera Samarawickrama, Charith Asalanka (captain), Janith Liyanage, Kamindu Mendis, Dunith Wellalage, Jeffrey Vandersay, Akila Dananjaya, and Asitha Fernando.
India's organization has Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh.
I think Sri Lanka's selection to bat first is sensible thinking about the pitch conditions that want spinners as the sport progresses. However, their reliance on spin must backfire if Indiaâs batsmen adapt nicely. India's unchanged lineup shows self belief, and their strong batting order might in all likelihood manipulate the chase properly, in particular with skilled players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. This recreation guarantees to be interesting, similar to the primary ODI.

Hayden also harassed the intellectual longevity needed to win the IPL, pronouncing that most effective teams with strong intellectual resilience and dedication can emerge triumphant in any such tough event.
I think while KKR has shown a sturdy overall performance this season and their spinners are certainly bold, SRH shouldn't be underestimated. So, even as KKR might have the higher hand on paper, SRH may want to nevertheless pull off an upset in the event that they play to their strengths.

THANK you Apr 29, 2024 CriC TalK My dear friends, I hope you all are enjoying this community. And I hope I am enjoying this community too. Today is my puzzle post if anyone can tell me in the comment section so that I don't repeat that mistake.
WELCOM ! Friends
Today I am discussing about most famous personality' Waqar Younis speech about cricket who discuss the most important issues of cricket and give solution. đ€
Former Pakistan cricketer Waqar Younis, who was part of the commentary panel of PSL 9, shared some important tips with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi aimed at building a successful future for the league.
Addressing the official address of the PCB chairman on social media, Waqar stressed the need to increase the number of teams participating in the upcoming tenth edition of the PSL in 2025.
Dear friends Waqar has also argued that the current PSL roster of six teams may be insufficient for a league, advocating an expansion to at least eight teams by 2025. Highlighted the importance of showcasing women's cricket alongside the main event. In my view, he said very well that women should not be considered less than men and should be given a chance.
"Six teams are too few for such a big brand," he said. PSL deserves atleast 8 teams in 2025, they made it very important here and the question is last year we had 3 women matches, what happened this year? And he said that Urdu commentary should have its own channel and setup, "I think this is a great thing because Urdu language is being eliminated and English has come in its place, so we want to promote Urdu."
Interestingly, Waqar's remarks echo sentiments previously expressed by Pakistan Women's Cricket Team star Bisma Maruf, who advocated the creation of a women's cricket league similar to the PSL. Bisma expressed disappointment over the absence of exhibition matches for women cricketers during PSL 9 and stressed the importance of providing a platform for women players to showcase their talent.
Bisma while talking to the media said that there are no exhibition matches for women cricketers in PSL 9 which is disappointing.
He said that it is very important to have a league like PSL for women cricketers. Exhibition matches were held during PSL last year and foreign players also participated. We were promised to hold our exhibition matches during the current season of PSL, but unfortunately our exhibition matches did not take place. I like his statement very much because he has supported the boys cricketer as well as the women cricketer which is very good because he wants women not to be considered less than men. Be treated like men of cricketer.
I hope you find this post good and informative. Share your opinion about Waqar Younis speech. In the comment section.
Thank you! Mar 21, 2024 CriC TalK
