The post about a family in Singapore reminds me of my deceased son and a song that was meaningful my family when we took care of him.

In a society that prides itself on productivity and efficiency, growing old and even caring for the aged are often deemed as dreadful and portrayed in a negative light. Is a person’s life so cheap and easily discarded?

Singapore is a tiny Asian country. It's government has been described as draconian. But it cannot be denied that good governance has enabled Singapore to quickly become a rich, well developed country.

The Singapore government deserve to be praised for the care of its citizens and trying to improve policies and facilities that are already better than that of many other countries.

As shared in the post, having an extended family involved is so important. Depending on just 1 or 2 persons for caregiving will burn them out.

Awareness by others and by employers will help those who are caregivers.

I am happy to see posts like this that helps to spread awareness.
