Genesis 4:1 

Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain.

The word "knew" Eve is used as an euphemism for had sex with.

Question 1

Is the incident mentioned in Genesis 4:1 the first time Adam knew Eve? 

The process of getting to know Eve involves much more than having sex.

Bear in mind, that before seeing Eve for the first time, Adam had never seen a human being before. 

Eve was more like Adam than all the animals that God had brought to Adam.

Yet there were obvious differences between Adam and Eve because they were both naked.

If you were Adam will you be interested intrigued by the first human you have ever seen?

Exploring the similarities and differences is part of the process to know Eve.

My wife and I have been married for 35 years. She says that I still do not know her well or understand what she wants.  I can also say the same about her.

Do you agree that it is very is  important for husbands and wives to know one another? 

Knowing for this question includes not just knowing physically but also emotionally and understanding one another.
