Based on the genealogies recorded in the Bible staring from Adam and Eve, till Christ and adding 2022 since we are now 2022AD , the time period is less than 7,000 years.

Using carbon dating, of fossils, science shows that the earth has existed many times longer than 7,000 years.

Why is there such a vast difference? Is one or the other inaccurate?
