I recently joined SoMon, another web3 social site and thought I would give members here some feedback on how it compares to the magnificent RTB BBS.
SoMon is still relatively new (s2) and while still working through the shit post and spam stage of development it boasts 10x the DAM of this platform.
To compare, RTB BBS boasts a whopping 339! Not 339k... just three hundred and thirty nine. 🙃
The alarming thing is not that SoMon presumably has many multi accounts (i've confirmed it), but that out of the 339 here, many are also multi accounts and the number of real genuine people left is much much lower.
In terms of content on SoMon, there is indeed spam and trash, much like used to be here, and honestly is still here now. However, SoMon also has some really great content too, some very good communities and the potential to go viral quite quickly!
In terms of the team at SoMon, you can contact them and talk with them publicly and directly on their discord channel (link below to join it) and they are very attentive and eager to please and improve (you know I like to have my say, and i've barked several times already). In contrast, here on RTB BBS, there is no discussion with or feedback from the team and little to no communication, even to board owners, in several months.
