Finally, we got to watch Oppenheimer!!!

Oppenheimer, as one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, has dinally hit cinemas! Those who appreciate intriguing and intricate narratives have to watch this!!! It is a film that largely delivers on its promises, immersing the audience in a world that is both historically accurate and emotionally captivating. The movie's visual and auditory elements are truly exceptional, transporting viewers back in time with impressive attention to detail. Something I really enjoy in movies is aesthetically pleasing visuals! Oppenheimer is a psychological thriller, delving into the mind of a famous historical figure and even taking a chilling turn towards psychological horror at one point. This blending of genres adds depth and intensity to the narrative, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats despite the familiarity of the historical events depicted. While the majority of the film is an engaging and immersive experience, I must admit that the final hour felt slightly prolonged. Perhaps, in my personal opinion, a slightly shorter runtime would have enhanced the overall impact and pacing. Nonetheless, this is subjective, as others might find the film's length justified, as with similarly long films like Babylon. Despite the minor reservation about its runtime, Oppenheimer remains a gem that is definitely worth watching in theaters. Its moments of brilliance and captivating storytelling make it a film that resonates with the audience even after leaving the cinema. For those who appreciate intellectually stimulating and emotionally charged movies, Oppenheimer is a must-see that will leave a lasting impression and inspire thought-provoking discussions. This was honestly probably one of my favourites in 2023, I reckon I’d rate it 8.5/10. A must watch definitely! Have you watched it? What are your thoughts??3y

Best “Adult humor” in a child movie😂Did you notice this??

I haven’t been on BBS in more than a year, I know, crazy right? Haha. I don’t get on often as I’m super busy being a dad and also working full time! Anyway, I saw this competition and thought I’d give it a go! The first thing that popped in my head when I read the competition title was this scene from the kids movie Madagascar! In this scene, Alex “the lion” and Marty “the Zebra” runs towards each other while screaming each other’s names, until Marty realizes that Alex is getting more and more angry at him. Marty then shouts ~ Oh “Sugar Honey Iced Tea!" Is slow motion!  Now the reason i found this funny is Marty Says: “Sugar Honey Iced Tea!" and the first letter of each word spells out S.H.I.T😂😂😂 Children might not have figured this out, yet! Shin-Kicking!

So after I found TOE WRESTLING, I decided to check out some more crazy sports/competitions.  This one is SHIN KICKING. It's most probably invented by another drunk night out in medieval England hahaha. "Shin-kicking, also known as shin diggings or purring, is a combat sport that involves two contestants attempting to kick each other on the shin in order to force their opponent to the ground. It has been described as an English martial art, and originated in England in the early 17th century. It was one of the most popular events at the Cotswold Olimpick Games[1] until the Games ended in the 1850s.[2]  Source Now here is a video of some Shin Kicking, There is a Slight Swear word in it , but it's too funny not to share 😂😂😂 Enjoy, cause I sure did hahaha! Most bizarre Sport ever😅

I came across this the other day! Toe Wrestling 😂 Yes you read that right!  The game was invented by four drinkers (should have known it was a bunch of drunk guys😂) in Ye Olde Royal Oak Inn in Wetton, Staffordshire, in 1974, who were bemoaning the fact that the United Kingdom (Oh look the country where @Lguigs is from😂) struggled to produce any world champions. Logically, if a new sport was invented that no one else knew about, the country could boast a champion at last. Having tried "ear wrestling" and "push of war" (with a scaffolding pole), Pete Cheetham, Eddie Stansfield, Pete Dean and Mick Dawson created toe wrestling. A rule board was produced by signwriters at the Yorkshire Evening Post. (Dawson's girlfriend, Angie Edward, was the daughter of the editor.) A small trophy was made and engraved. Source I wouldn’t mess with this guy’s feet😂! How bizarre is this?? It sounds too crazy to believe!4y

Random fact: Worlds ugliest creature!

Blobfish The blobfish has been voted the world's ugliest animal!  But did you know this!Yes, there is no denying that this fish is Butt ugly, But I do feel that’s a bit harsh and unfair to this guy!  See, the blobfish doesn’t look like this in his natural environment and I’m here to stand up for this little guy😂. The blobfish is made to withstand and survive in high underwater pressure  environments 2000-3000 feet under water. Once it’s caught and brought up to the surface its body expands and basically explodes to what you see in the pictures above! So what does the blobfish look like underwater in the deep blue. I mean, he’s still a little ugly but he at least went from a 1/10 to a 3/10😂 What do you think?4y

Have you ever tried this dessert??

One of my favourite deserts is a.... . . . Banoffee Pie  Let me walk you through the steps for making it. Step1: Blitz up some Digestive biscuits. They are used for the Crumble! Mix with some melted butter and press into a pie tin. Step2: You can make caramel by cooking some sweetened condensed milk! (Be careful though this might be dangerous if you do it in a pressure cooker). Spread it on the crumble. Step 3: Add freshly sliced bananas Step 4: Add some Sweet whipped cream on top. Step 5: optional, put some shaved chocolate for garnish! This is recipe super easy to make and crazy delicious. I've used the recipe before and it didn't dissappoint! Full Recipe Full Recipe4y

Daily Random fact:#5 A snail can sleep for 3 years on end

"When the weather is extremely hot or cold, snails can stay inside their shell for long periods. In some extreme cases, where there are long periods of extreme weather, snails will sleep for 3 years, although it is not very common. [Travel Post] Puerto Galera, Philippines

Was digging through my pictures on my phone earlier and came across some pics of our time in the Philippines! The view from our resort! 🌅 Breakfast on the balcony! 🥓 🍳  Fresh fish and chips for lunch on the beach! 🐟 🍟  Afternoon cocktails, Cuba libré and Sunrise sling. 🍹  Dinner, bacon, onion, mushroom and cheese pizza with some parma ham on top ! 🍕  2 of our favourite drinks in Philippines, Red horse beer is 8% alc and san miguel apple beer! Broken shower hahaha. Pretty standard for certain asian travel destinations 😂😂😂 Puerto Galera stays one of my favorite destinations that I’ve been to. 4y
