if you want something very dark and very dry and very british satire of what getting through a long conversation with an old friends This might be the film for you…

It is very similar to what you might imagine an episode or Peep Show (2003) might be if Mitchell and Webb went to stay with wealthy friends in their country manor. Complete with anxiety ridden attempts at fowl shooting and embarrassing yourself with horrible impressions in front of local people.

The film is very professionally made. Excellent score from the Krinks captures both the anxiety of social situations and the techno of the post-irony ‘eat, sleep, rave repeat’ group of friends.

I love The editing  for me is great as well, and the cinematography does a great job of constantly isolating the protagonist even when he’s in a room full of people.
