Wanting an abortion, but my boyfriend has already told everyone I'm pregnant

Feeling upset and trapped. My boyfriend told his parents, cousins, and coworkers that I am pregnant the minute I took a positive test even though I asked him not to share. I haven't told a single person other than my doctor because I'm so ashamed of myself for being careless when the time is not right for me to have a kid. I am 30 years old, I have my own home and a good, full-time career, but I am also in a part-time masters program, and I just don't feel like I can handle being pregnant while working/studying for 65 hours a week. I also cannot sleep without medication, so I am terrified that if I do have the baby, I will be responsible for any birth defects. This is my first pregnancy and I am so terrified to have an abortion, but I just can't handle the stress of all this. However, I still feel so guilty because I know I could provide for a baby even though the situation is not perfect. I wish I had just kept the whole thing to myself. I feel like if I go through with the abortion, I will have to break up with my boyfriend because I can't be around all these people who will know what I did. I just wish I had some privacy. Looking for any advice or opinions regarding my situation.

Should I be feeling guilty for saying not again and not being happy for my daughters pregnancy?

My daughter got pregnant the second year into college, it was not a good time. My husband and I stepped up so she could finish college, which she did. She just graduated and just got a job. The problem is at the moment she can not afford childcare or rent since her job kinda sucks.

We were hoping she would be moving out by the end of the year. She told us today that she is pregnant again. When she told us I said not again. She asked if I was happy for her and I told her no. That we will not look after another kid and we already wanted her to find her own place by the end of the year or next summer at the latest.

Would you have done this?

My last relationship was not good. My ex frequently gaslighted me, was emotionally abusive, and did a number on my self-confidence and self-esteem. We broke up a while ago, but in August he asked me out again. Of course I said no, which angered him and he proceeded to gaslight and insult me. He even reached out to one of my friends and started flirting with her, I guess as a way to get back at me. Obviously my friend shut that down. He left me alone after that…until two weeks ago when he reached out again, but I immediately ended the conversation and haven’t heard from him since. Since we’ve broken up, I’ve struggled to trust other people because of how emotionally crushing and draining that relationship was.
Yesterday, I found out he has a new girlfriend (K). This girl also happens to be someone I went to college with. And although we weren’t close in college, I still wanted to say something. Not in a vindictive and crazy ex way, but in a “hey keep a watchful eye out” way. Of course, I didn’t want to reach out directly because then I would definitely come across as the crazy jealous ex. So instead, I reached out to one of K’s best friends, (let’s call her C) who I am closer with. I didn’t give C specific details. I only said that the relationship took a toll on me and that C should just keep an eye on her friend just in case. C immediately started thanking me, saying she was wary of him and didn’t get a good vibe from him. C also told me that K and my ex have only been officially dating for a week, and talking for a few weeks prior, which they both said was exclusive since they hadn’t really been talking to anyone else before that. (Which if they were “exclusively talking”, why was he reaching out to me?)  I reiterated to C that I wasn’t trying to be nosy or sabotage the relationship, especially since their relationship might not turn out to be anything like mine was. I just wanted someone in K’s life to be there in case things turned for the worse. C thanked me profusely and said that I was a girl’s girl and she understood that I’m simply looking out for a fellow gal. C told me she would definitely keep an eye on it, especially since she was already skeptical about their relationship. C also asked if I would prefer my name not be mentioned if the conversation ever came up with K. I asked her not to mention me, in fear that if my ex ever found out, he would take his anger at me out on K. C was extremely grateful and understanding about that and said she would let me know if anything ever happened.
Another friend of mine saw the photos of K and my ex on both of their Instagram stories, and reached out to see if I was okay. I told my friend I was okay, just worried about K and told her about the conversation with C. My friend told me that it wasn’t my place to have done that. She said “yes he’s an asshole. Yes what he did to you was incredibly wrong and no one should have to go through that. But you don’t know her that well. She’ll figure it out on her own, hopefully sooner rather than later. But it’s not your place to meddle”. I told her that that’s why I reached out to C instead of K directly. Because I didn’t want to cause drama or stick my nose in their relationship, I just wanted someone to be there for K if something happens. And my friend told me she still wouldn’t have reached out.
I was just trying to look out for my fellow lady, but should I have left it alone? What would you have done?

AITA for not sharing my daughters secret with my partner?

My 16 yo daughter shared something with me in confidence and explicitly asked me not to share with ANYONE. My partner overheard part of the conversation and asked over and over for me to share. I refused and he has been sulking for 3 days now about it saying that I've deeply hurt him by not sharing her secret. It isn't anything dangerous or that could potentially effect him. AITA for not wanting to break my daughter's trust??

One of my clients wished a dangerous pregnancy onto her sterilized sister.

I had a client yesterday who told me she was excited because her sister had confided in her recently that she was pregnant. I try to indulge my clients in their excitement a little bit before changing the subject, so I said "oh, that's exciting for her," and she says something along the lines of "well, not really. She's terrified and didn't want it to happen. I've always wanted her to have one though! She's had her tubes removed and got an ablation so there's a lot of risks, but I'm so excited! She says she doesn't want it but I want her to have it!"

I was absolutely just... dumbstruck. I just stared at her in silence. It must have been a prolonged silence because she visibly got a little uncomfortable and I just changed the subject.

Elderly Women and Isolation: Addressing Loneliness and Neglect

Hello friends, As we know many elderly women find themselves in vulnerable situations, living alone without adequate social support or access to essential services. This isolation can have profound physical and mental health effects, leaving them feeling abandoned and invisible. As a society, we must recognize the value of our elderly women and work towards creating a more inclusive and caring environment for them. This includes fostering intergenerational connections, providing accessible healthcare, and ensuring their basic needs are met.

Their wisdom, experiences, and stories deserve to be cherished and shared, and it is our responsibility to make sure they are not forgotten.

My friend’s earned time off was given to some mommy

My friend who’s childfree like me worked so hard to get these days off. She worked overtime and everything so she can take her mother (who’s never been out of the country) on vacation. They took an entire 5 of her hard earned days to some mumma so she can plan and celebrate her spawn’s first birthday party. The other lady gave her vacation days willingly to this mumma but they never asked my friend! Once she confronted her shift manager about this, the manager simply said “I thought you’d understand, it’s his first birthday!” This momma walks around shoving her baby and kid pictures in everyone’s face which sounds terribly annoying. These people treated my friend like an ALIEN after she was not ok with having her hard earned days taken without permission because “Oh! It’s the little darling’s first birthday!” She already took this up to the state and I really hope this gets resolved before her vacation starts because she was planning this months ahead with her mother. Man I just hate how someone can get whatever they want simply because they plopped out a kid!!

How to politely put a man in his place?

I was introduced to a guy by a mutual girl friend and we started to hang out (all 3 of us) a lot. Initially he had a crush on me and told my friend about it. She ended up trying to make it happen but I was never up for it because I genuinely think I deserved better than him. He sometimes makes inappropriate jokes and is always making weird sexual comments which I don’t like. He also says things like ‘shut the f-up’ or’ what the f-k are you talking about’ when he talks to me and no men has ever talked to me the way he does so it makes me uncomfortable sometimes. I must admit that in the beginning I had a little bit of an attitude towards him bc of the way he spoke to me and I basically ended up rejecting him because I never really showed him interest. He recently got a gf and we still hang out because we have class together but I feel like lately he got even worse with the way he talks to me and the sexual jokes are always there no matter. Idk if it’s maybe because I never gave him attention or if he has someone else but how can I put him in his place? He does talk to my friend similarly but I feel like he’s meaner to me and just doesn’t really seem to respect me at all. We go to school together so I don’t wanna actually fight with him or create a situation but what can I say to him that is going to make him respect me and quit these jokes/comments in a polite/nice way?

What's the most hurtful/offensive thing you have been told regarding your childfreedom?

I wasn't told anything offensive yet regarding my childfreedom. The most "hurtful" (wasn't hurtful at all actually) shit I've been told is that no man wants a child free woman.

I'd like to know your stories, vent here if you want to!
