Maybe you don’t know about me that I'm paraglider.. At least I was, becouse I was not flying for few years.. I know I know.. Dangerous and crazy.. 😁 But also fun and you need great knowledge about meteorology and Principles and technique of flying.. You have to learn how to find rising thermal currents if you want to fly for a longer distance..

🤷‍♂️And who are the masters of thermals?? Birds of pray!! Many paragliders are observe them during their fly and copy their flying ways.. Without flapping their wings, they can fly long distances and raise heights of many meters..

And then Scott Mason in 2001 came with an idea:

Parahawking with Black Vulture🦅

Parahawking was developed by British falconer Scott Mason in 2001, with the expert advice of Stephen Hawking, whose name was an inspiration for the activity. Mason began a round-the-world trip in Pokhara, Nepal, where many birds of prey – such as the griffon vulture, steppe eagle and black kite – can be found. While taking a tandem paragliding flight with British paraglider Adam Hill, he had the opportunity to see raptors in flight, and realised that he could combine the sports of paragliding and falconry.

The team started by training two black kites, but have since added two Egyptian vultures, Kevin and Bob, to the team. Only rescued birds are used – none of the birds have been taken from the wild.

Amazing what do you think? Now I have to return to this beautiful sport again and maybe when I will meet some eagle, I will train it.. 🦅🤪
