River Plate Superchampion of Argentina!

It is called the Super Cup, because the champion of the Argentine League competes against the champion of the Argentine Cup (similar to the Copa del Rey in Spain or the FA Cup in England). On this occasion, the run-up to the game was quite hot because the River Coach has been questioned a lot about the results and decisions he has been making in recent weeks, so during the game while Estudiantes de la Plata was winning, the crowd from River sang "put the kids on, the whore that gave birth to you", in reference to the coach putting the youth players on the field such as Mastantuono and Echeverry. After 25 minutes of the 2nd half, with the substitutes who entered the field, River managed to twist history, tying the game after repeated saves by the opposing goalkeeper who had a spectacular night and then 5 minutes from the end, Aliendro, who is a Experienced midfielder came off the bench to score a spectacular goal! The game ended in a very emotional way, with players moved to tears and coach Martín Demichelis also very emotional because of the emotional burden they had brought from the last few weeks.Mar 14, 2024

Julián Álvarez 🥰

https://x.com/VarskySports/status/1709671306172444892?t=LzE1LX6kpoOOLJ4upWGZ7A&s=09 You already saw it right? But in case there is anyone unsuspecting here, today my dear Julián scored a beautiful goal in the UCL to break the equality between City and Leipzig.... Impeccable! Did you see the freekick goals he has been scoring in the Premier??? He is the owner of dead balls in the absence of De Bruyne 🥰Oct 4, 2023

Result of my Gameweek and forced change

Today I decided to join Almiron instead of Rodrigo, who had been on the tightrope for several weeks and has now been expelled, so he will serve a sanction for a few weeks... That is why he is basically leaving my team for the moment. .  In his place, Almiron enters, who has been making good scores but I unfortunately kept him on the bench... It would not have been enough for me to surpass Dr strange to win the weekly price, but at least I would have climbed positions in the general table of the League of our community  And to transfer Rodrigo, select Bowen, from West Ham, who has been doing a good job... We will see how it turns out Sep 25, 2023

Nobody talks about FPL this week? 😉

. Good good! Looks like someone had a spectacular performance this gameweek!  Thanks to Man City and Spurs I had this great score, since the rest accompanied a bit with their dots haha  . To be honest, I expected more from my opponents but hey, we can all have a bad week, right? hahaha  . But hey! Do not give up, this is long and I am also exaggerating with my result, since next gameweek I can return to my usual range of points between 40 - 55 haha  . I want those who are in the TOP 5 to know, do not neglect your teams, because I am close to you and climbing positions 🤣🤣🤣🤣Sep 5, 2023

My team for gameweek 4 💫

A good one! I was able to put 3 forwards and 3 defenders... Until the previous gameweek, I only had 2 forwards and I think the ones that score the most points are the midfielders and the forwards... Defenders are a necessary evil and I always choose the ones I have seen as good arrivals to the opposite area and usually have chances to score  . I continue betting on Julian Álvarez and Mac Allister, although I would like to have a few more Argentines... I try to put my "patriotism" aside, to have a better performance and be able to fight those who are in the top 3 of our league SPORTX  . I know I don't have forwards on the bench... In case anyone notices, but I had to make two transfers and I couldn't change one of the 2 defenders to put a forward... Hopefully it won't cause me problems  . Well, that's my report on the modifications I made... I hope you have a good day! Aug 30, 2023

The narrator who sings when someone score a goal

I'm watching the game between Man Utd and Nottingham Forrest and I remember that this announcer on ESPN when someone scores a goal, he makes a song... I think it's different for those who usually score goals.... it's very funny haha Can you recognize the song??? Aug 26, 2023

Forced to make changes 🙄

I went to check my team because I was very concerned about having scored less than 40 points in gameweek 2... In fact, my players had a terrible day, despite having two of them in the **team of the week**, it was not enough... In addition to Mac Allister (I don't know how he did it) but he had -2... If anyone knows what happened, let me know... It seems strange to me that he appears as available for this day, since I imagine they would have been reprimanded or expelled to obtain that score...  I usually have problems with the defenders, since they don't score many points... But this time they were better than the midfielders... We'll see how they handle themselves in the day that has already begun...  . So, no need to make any changes due to injury/suspension, we'll see if the guys improve or if I have to make a decision. Aug 26, 2023

What's wrong with Beckham?

Are he trying to put together a "remake" of Barca in Miami? Haha Busquets has arrived, now Jordi Alba has joined... I read that they are in talks with Luis Suárez... Of course, some have already retired, like Xavi, Iniesta, Victor Valdes, etc... But at least half of a historic Barca can be put together in Miami... 👀 Of course, with several extra years on their backs 👴 and in a much less competitive league than Spain haha... But maybe it gets interesting! Could they take Neymar too? Hahaha It would be excessive, don't you think? 🤭Jul 20, 2023

Spectacular spot to advertise women's soccer

https://twitter.com/Canal12web/status/1679207311833960449?t=YCwHn9H-R3uey-p6fgcEkA&s=19 I thought this spot was amazing! The editing of the video is wonderful and also the quality of the women who play at that level has no name! They are real cracks! . Of course, little by little women's soccer is gaining more popularity and funding (it's about time), but even some companies like the one in this video make an effort to erase prejudices about women's abilities for this sport!Jul 12, 2023

My initial FPL team

Yeah! The time has come to reassemble the team for the Fantasy Premier League! . . Do not hesitate to ask for help to do it, it is very simple and intuitive! I am not an expert, but I know some who are cracks here on the FPL subject, for example Luke or Aj1122... They are also very good people and they will have no problem guiding anyone! Well, regarding my boys, clearly there are fewer Argentines than I would like, but I don't want to abuse trust in my compatriots either haha... In defense I chose players who have attack attack (according to my criteria) and with good scores in last season, plus I tried to get them to be from strong teams, but at the same time brats... Which is not entirely easy haha... In midfield, I bet on ♥Mac Allister♥, hoping for a good and quick adaptation in his new club, I love Almirón and I think he can explode this season, Rashford is likely to remain at a good level and the same for Rodrigo, I also like him his arrival at the goal regularly and here I have the doubt whether to leave Rodrigo or Son... But I will try. The forward is a no-brainer for me, Haaland cannot be left out, Nkunku may be a bet waiting for him to adapt quickly to a new league and club, but I have faith in him... For any problem with him, I have ♥Juli Alvarez♥ in the bench, always ready and I hope that this season I have many more opportunities and more time on the pitch... . . PS: I realized when putting together the post that Trippier was left on the bench, so I put him in the team instead of DaviesJul 8, 2023

River Plate made it past the group stage!

Let me know if you can watch the video as it always happens with Youtube channels that are blocked or limited in some countries . Last night (for my time zone at least), River faced the Bolivian team The Strongest, who won the first match with a crushing win in La Paz, Bolivia (post about said match), where some claim it is inhumane play and can delve into the subject in that mentioned post. Now, in better conditions to play a sport as demanding as football, River Plate was able to make more of a difference and win 2-0, although it was not absolute dominance and on several occasions they were on the verge of drawing when the game was 1-0. so it was an interesting and intense game until a few minutes from the end the second goal came to calm the waters down a bit xD . Here I leave the final position table of group D, where River Plate was and thanks to other favorable results, they were able to overcome the group stage, because if other results were given in the last 2 games, despite having won , the numbers would have been a bit complicated and they might have needed goal difference to be able to overcome this obstacle.. . . Now, moving forward with the development of the competition, on Wednesday, July 5, the draw will be made to find out what the round of 16 crosses will be like... In these tables are on the one hand those who were first and on the other the second of the groups, so in the draw the crosses will be each first against a second. Therefore, the most important derby in the Argentine league can take place in this instance, since Boca Juniors came first in their group and River Plate second in theirs... There is already speculation that this crossover can take place, that It's always a good show for soccer fans and very intense for fans of those teams... We'll see next Wednesday how the crosses are set up!Jun 28, 2023

Devil Echeverri 🇦🇷

Born in 2006 (17 years old), he played in the SUB-17 World Cup with the Argentine national team, for which he was left out of the SUB-20 by FIFA regulations. It would have been interesting to see him, but hey... These are the rules... Now, meanwhile, he has just made his debut in River Plate's first division making good interventions (I leave a video of his debut) and even participated in one of the goals ... You can see in both videos that I leave here, that the boy has very good skills and has a very promising future. Hopefully he can establish himself in River for several years and then (as always happens) go abroad (Europe generally, although we will see what happens with the USA, Saudi Arabia, etc.) As it has happened in other cases that they leave very young, they lose continuity and playing minutes, so they end up "deflating" and go from being potential stars to being "a player more than a lot"... It occurs to me, for example, Maxi Lopez, Saviola, among others who went very young to teams like Barcelona in the case of Maxi and could not finish exploding and later survived in much lower category teams. Finally, it seems they gave Echeverri the goal because he deflected Beltrán's shot, for which he debuted with a goal in the first division... Perhaps it will remain anecdotal in his history or be forgotten... Time will tell haha . For all that has been said, I hope that this boy manages to stay in the Argentine League for a few years to gain experience and also obviously so that River Plate can get a better economic return from its sale for having formed it from a very young age, as happened recently with Julián Alvarez, for example. .Jun 26, 2023

Six months since the World Cup final 🤪

I saw this thread with highlights of what was the final of Argentina vs. France in Qatar 2022.... What a heart attack ending!!! I think this thread is not wasted and I think you may like it a lot! The stories in Spanish are also great, with the speakers completely moved in various parts of the match that ended up crowning Argentina as world champion for the 3rd time in its history...  . My favorite moments and that I see again from time to time and continue to fascinate him is Di María's goal, with a spectacular previous play and the save by Martines in the final seconds with the announcer saying just before the long pass that he reached Muani so that "The referee is going to end the match", in his anxiety for the suffering to end once and for all to go to penalties, but when he sees the pass that leaves Muani hand in hand, he remains petrified until he explodes with Dibu's impressive save!  . What are your favorite moments of the final??? I don't want to forget Mbappe's goal in less than 2 minutes to tie the game 2 - 2... What a monster! Jun 19, 2023

My ideal XI for the 22/23 season

You will clearly imagine that my team is going to have more Argentines than it should, but hey, that's how impartial I am hahaha Dibu Martinez (Argentina) For me, he deserves to be among the ideal XI for his decisive participation in the world cup (penalty saver, the save against Muani in the world final, among others), in addition to the fact that he did well at his club, in one of the most competitive and difficult leagues in the world. . Kyle Walker (England) I have no doubt that he is one of the best wingers or RBs in the world today, champion of the UCL, Premier League, although he could not stand out too much (as I remember) in the WC with England... But otherwise I would put the Argentine Molina Haha... . Van Dijk (Nederlands) It was very hard to beat the Netherlands in the World Cup with this boy in the saga, if it weren't for the fact that Argentina left their team out, they could have fought until the end to be champion but this was not their chance... Also with Liverpool It has been having excellent seasons, without a doubt it has to be there! . Josko Gvardiol (Croatia) I remember him from the confrontation against Messi, in which he put up a great battle but lost to the King xD... But beyond that confrontation that is well remembered in the WC, he is an extraordinary defender and has a huge future, since he is very young man... I want him on my team! . Theo Hernández (France) This was difficult... I wanted to put Acuña from Sevilla but Milan advanced a lot in the UCL, so I opted for Theo, also both were world finalists... "El Huevo/ The egg" Acuña was European champion league... It's difficult, I'm still doubting it! . Ruben Dias (Portugal) Well I think many will agree with this one, a great player and UCL champion! . Enzo fernández (Argentina) I have no doubts in putting Enzo, although he did not have a good season with Chelsea, I support him blindly! I have followed him since he was very young in River Plate and the Argentine league, a very complete player that I always choose him for my team! . Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium) This UCL champion strikes me as one of the best midfielders in the world! I couldn't leave him out, although I would have liked to choose Moric or Mac allister, but Kevin seems like a monster to me and I love his style! . Kylian Mbappé (France) Very difficult to leave Vinicius out (spoiler for my choice of forwards xD), but this runner-up in the world deserves to be in my team!  . Messi  El mejor de los últimos años, mientras juegue voy a elegirlo para mí equipo! . Erling Haaland (Norway) With an overwhelming present and a promising future, Erling would undoubtedly be on my team! It hurts me to leave out Julián Alvarez but at present I have no doubts who is in better shape! . In almost every position I have an Argentine or South American who could represent well and defend my team's jersey xD but I also want to be a bit realistic with the players who are in the best shape in the main leagues in the world and what their presentation was like in the toilet of 2022...Jun 18, 2023

🇦🇷 Argentines in Europe

🇦🇷 Argentina will be the FIRST COUNTRY in the ENTIRE football history to have at least ONE FOOTBALL PLAYER in the SIX teams that compete in the three European finals.  . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Manchester City 🇦🇷 Julián Álvarez . 🇮🇹 Inter 🇦🇷 Lautaro 🇦🇷 Joaquín Correa . 🇪🇦 Sevilla 🇦🇷 Ocampos 🇦🇷 Montiel 🇦🇷 Papu Gómez 🇦🇷 Lamela . 🇮🇹 Roma 🇦🇷 Dybala . 🇮🇹 Fiorentina 🇦🇷 Nico González 🇦🇷 Martinez Quarta . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 West Ham 🇦🇷 Lanzini . . Source It is worth clarifying that there are players who are not mentioned as Acuña in Sevilla, because he is expelled and there are others who are in the U-20 World Cup, so there are only those who are available in the squad  . On the one hand, it is proud that there are so many Argentine players in the best teams in Europe, but I cannot stop thinking that it is very hard that we cannot retain players in the Argentine League and not even in another South American league, at least due to economic issues. The players always leave extremely young, even in some cases they leave before making their debut in the first division  Going to Europe and lately also to the USA, since it is a radical change in level and lifestyle because they start to earn millions of dollars a year, something that does not usually happen here, with salaries being much lower and the players They dream of leaving for at least a few years to play in another league with better salaries and of course competitiveness. May 31, 2023

Vélez Sarfield - River Plate

Yesterday River had a very tough duel against Velez Sarfield, which has the living legend and former Atlético de Madrid player Godín (I'm sure many know him) and "el oso" Pratto who is an experienced striker, among several young players, mostly coming from the Velez youth academy and with a great present-future despite the fact that they have not been very regular and therefore do not appear in the top 10 of the League as seen in the screenshot that I share below... . . Despite the fact that they have not been having a great tournament, they always become strong playing at home and if you watch the video, you will be able to see the number of covers that the goalkeeper from Velez had and was one of the figures of the first half at least... Then due to the development of the second half, perhaps the figure ends up being another player but their goalkeeper was decisive so that River cannot win . . For the moment, River continues to hold first place with a 6-point difference compared to second place, so not having achieved 3 points in the last game complicates the difference but I don't see it as difficult for it to maintain or eventually be able to stretch that advantage again. in the future, taking into account that there are still 9 games left (27 points)... So anything can happen! Bonus track: I saw this meme today and I thought it was fun to add color to my post haha May 30, 2023

My team for Gameweek 36

I had to make a forced change, since Rashford has a 25% chance of playing due to an injury that afflicts him. So I put Almirón from Newcastle, a player from Paraguay who is very good, has great talent and a future, but his team doesn't usually accompany him... Hopefully I'll be lucky this time and improve my score from last week, which was 51 points. Seeing the highest score in the league (63), the performance of my boys wasn't so bad, but you always have to seek to improve and above all, keep the fun intact! xD . As you can see, I continue to support Alvares and Mac Allister, both Argentines who have been doing things well! Especially Alexis, who has much more continuity than the Spider... Surely you have seen some of the rumors about a possible transfer of Mac Allister to Liverpool =O ... It would be extraordinaryMay 12, 2023

Re: Classico Argentina: 💙🤩

Spectacular video you got! I always have the problem with YouTube that there are channels blocked in some countries and many cannot see the summary videos when I post about River! About the game it was very entertaining, in the first half almost all the goal opportunities were created by River... The fight after the goal was because Palavecino (River) yelled the goal in the euphoric and provocative face of the players of Boca, but it is something that almost always happens in these games, there is always a problem and it is played intensely, to the limit.May 9, 2023

Maybe I'll win this week!

Strongly supporting the Argentine kids Mac Allister and spider 🤟 Álvarez and this time they rewarded me with good scores! Clearly Haaland and Salah were also decisive for this good score... I hope nobody beats me, but I have a good chance of winning this time haha... I've also been improving in the ranking of our league, after a very hard start in the last places, now I'm close to the top 10 at last  . To those who suspect why I didn't update River Plate results, they are right... We are not in a good moment, we lost against Fluminense from Brazil 5-1 and I still haven't gathered the strength to post about it hahhahaa... But on Sunday the match with our classic rival Boca Juniors is coming up and I hope it will be a very fun and good game! May 4, 2023

Tremendous goal by Julián!!!!  . The city began winning with a penalty goal converted by Halland and then the game  had been complicated for City since Fulham had tied it after a very good goal, then Grealish was inches away from making the game 1-2 but Leno covered what could have been a very nice goal for the previous play too... Then, Julián made a great play, with a spectacular mid-distance shot!  I hope you can watch the video! Just in case, I leave a second option below.  Another optionMay 2, 2023
