Hello Banter Fam, As you all know Crypto Banter has 2 active Banter boards in BBS: BANTER: For crypto information, news, show feedback, memes and other fun stuff. CHARTS: For all your trading setups and related charts. Also known as the "Sniper" board, as it is the home board of Sheldon The Sniper. Bybit explanations by Sheldon - I found it a useful video. And you?

Hi Banter Fam! We all know that Bybit is a Crypto Banter show sponsor. Also you need to open a Bybit account via the Banter referral link if you want to participate in the "TRADING COMPETITION". I opened a Bybit account but never really worked with it since I already had two other crypto exchanges.  In order to get the basics around Bybit, I watched this video, made by Sheldon The Sniper some weeks ago: I finally took the time (1 full hour) to watch it this weekend and I really liked it. Of course in the beginning it's the very basics he explains which you already know if you have any other exchange you are active on. But further on in the video he also gives some more practical tips and tricks etc, that was the part I liked. In the end of the video, Sheldon touches upon leverage trading as well (with some basics) but promised he would make another extensive video just on how to leverage trade in Bybit. So I am really looking forward to that one as well. The things I learned from this video which I didn't know before: - How to switch your leverage short or long trade to the opposite trade direction in one click. - I finally understood the "trailing stoploss" completely now. Don't know if I want to use it, but at least I have understood it now... If you wonder about some functions in Bybit, maybe you find the answer in this video? For all people messaging the admin/mods to become a partner…

Hello Banter Fam!You can find a link to below post in the “about” section. It indicates some of the criteria we use to choose our partners (see list indicated with ✅): As you can see there are quite many criteria since only the “top contributors” of the board will be invited to be a partner. The quality of posts is only one piece of the puzzle. True engagement to help the Banter Fam is at least as important as the quality of the posts. People are messaging us after joining the board for one or two weeks? How can they be a valued community member and top contributor after such short time 🤷🏻‍♀️? We want to remind everyone that partners will be invited by the board and not on request of the members. So it has no use to message us… If you joined the board not because you are interested in Crypto and/or Banter but because you want to earn some quick money,  you will be for sure disappointed. Unfortunately, we recently had to un-partner 2 members because they misused their partner position trying to make quick money instead of giving value to the board and the community. This shows that the admin/mod team needs to be very careful in their selections to protect the funding of the board. Let’s make this again a fun and interesting board where we share crypto information with each other, discuss it in the comments, help each other to become better, let each other laugh with some crypto memes,… Banter Fam can do this 💪 K_Bloemen 🌸4y

METABBS released preview for phase 4 of The Great Reset

Hi Banter Fam, Be sure to read below post released on METABBS just some minutes ago. The post explains how you will able to use your reputation points after phase 4 release. There is no date mentioned for the release of phase 4 but since they released the preview today I guess it won’t be long anymore… My key takeaways: Promoting a post will mean predicting how much views it will get. If you publish a post you can immediately promote it to a higher amount to claim the views on the post yourself. Posts on the board will no longer be presented in order of publication date/time but according to the highest promoted value. Tell us what you think, how you have understood the METABBS post etc… Please read the post yourself as well and write in the comments what you think about it, what your doubts are, how you understood what was written there etc.The Banter Admin and mods might not have all answers for you but then we can ask the METABBS admins about it to find out as much as we can before phase 4 is released. BANTER board vs METABBS - the statistics don't lie... Banter Fam doesn't comment a lot...

Hi Banter Fam! On BBS platform each board gets an "engagement score" . You can find the information of all boards' scores in the "rewards" section: A table like below is shown. As you can see, the BANTER board is currently only on the 6th place 😕 It gets really interesting when we compare our BANTER board to METABBS:  The number of posts of the last day is very comparable (80 vs 75), the same goes for the number of unique members who have visited the board (409 vs 391). But look at the enormous difference in "engagement" through comments.  In our BANTER board 409 unique users only left 215 comments.  In METABBS board 391 unique users left an impressive 1529 comments. It is true that the number of comments has dropped drastically since the typical money-hunters have left our board. They only commented an emoji or "good post, please check mine". Those comments were of course pretty useless. So Banter Fam, open the posts of your interest and leave a genuine comment saying you (dis)agree with the post, asking the publisher an extra question, starting a discussion,... In your comment you can also tag another member who you think has an opinion on the post.  You will see that by commenting under other people's posts they might also get interested in your posts, tip you, promote your post,... You might discover new friends as well. I know I got to know a lot of interesting people just through commenting under posts. Good luck to all! K_Bloemen 🌸4y

Less strict board rules AND more info about board partners

Hello Banter Fam! Now that “The Great Reset” is changing completely the earning model on BBS, the Admin and the Moderator team think that the time has come to change some rules on this board. What will change? Most rules will stay the same but some very strict rules we can let go now. Why? Read further and you will find out. Posts/comments which we still don’t allow and which we continue to hide: ❌ Off topic posts (not Crypto or Banter or BBS related) ❌ Copied articles/tweets/… without source (incl. when you “rewrite” the post). You cannot pretend you have written something by yourself when that is not the case. ❌ NFT/ART posts ❌ Advertising ❌ Offensive posts, scams, harassment, adult content and other content not allowed by the BBS platform. Why do we change this? We don’t need to be so strict anymore for users who are not a partner since they cannot earn through the platform anymore. If you want to post a simple link to a video or tweet, you can do so as from now on. But if this is the only type of posts you make, you cannot expect to be asked to be a partner of the board either. It’s up to you to decide if becoming a partner of the board is a goal for you or not. We want to try out this set of less strict rules for a couple of weeks to see where it brings us. We count on everyone’s responsibility to keep the quality of the board at a high level. How will the board choose “partners”? Partners of the board can earn the full advertising revenue of posts they make. In later phases of “The Great Reset” also an earning model through comments will be introduced. The board owner needs to be able to trust fully the partners of the board since they will be the one who earn money from the board. They are the partners who should make the board be better every day. Here are some characteristics of partners of the board. You don’t have to tick all boxes, but at least some to be chosen: ✅ Your posts are mainly self-written (meaning minimum 50% of each post is self written) ✅ If you start from an article, you of course mention the source. You post the link rather than copying all text. You make sure you add your opinion or similar in that case. ✅ You make the community laugh with your original, self-made memes ✅ You truly interact in your comments by giving your opinion, starting a conversation, going into a discussion, making a joke, … ✅ You make a variety of posts (e.g. different types or about different topics) and are active on the board for at least a month. ✅ You promote high quality posts instead of promoting every single post you encounter. ✅ You encourage and help new members to make high quality posts If you recognize yourself in quite some characteristics mentioned above, you have a high chance to be invited as a partner. If you don’t, and you want to become a partner, you know where to start. When will the board choose partners? This will be a continuous process. Only a very selected number of people was chosen until now, we intend to increase that number slowly but steadily. Please give us the time to adapt to this new situation as well. After phase 5, when we know how also quality commentors can share in the revenue of the board, we can select “quality commentors” as well to become a partner. After all, not everyone wants to be a publisher. We hope that this post has brought some clarity. In case of questions/doubts/… please leave us  a comment below or make a post about it. First “partners” were chosen today… up to the next ones.

Hi there,  What a day! What a day again with BBS releasing phase 2 and phase 3 of The Great Reset launching new vocabulary like “promoting posts”, “staking your reputation” etc. Make sure to get yourself informed about what has changed. You can find the link to the correct METABBS post in the Banter board pinned post. It’s a lot to digest so take your time to read it several times. Welcome to the new “Partners” Another event of today was that the first “great contributors” got the news that they are a partner of this board. Remember that this has become an “invite only” event, it is useless to tag us mods or to send us private messages asking for it…We get often the question what is needed to become a partner (formerly known as whitelisting). There is not 1 single answer to that. I would advise everyone who has that question to check out the profiles of the people with a “check” badge next to their picture. I hope you will agree with us that they all create valuable content and make real engagement in the comments. Congratulations to the new partners and hopefully we can select more new partners soon. The Great Reset - Phase 2 and 3 implemented on JULY 7th

Update July 7: Phase 2 and 3 of "The Great Reset" are implemented on July 7th. Please make sure to read >> this METABBS post <<. Update July 5: The Great Reset was executed on July 5th. All members were un-whitelisted. Today the BBS network came with a big announcement called "The Great Reset". We urge all BANTER board members to read the official post on METABBS so that you understand what is going to change. The Great Reset will happen in 5 phases. Phase 1 will happen on July 5th.  On July 5th all members will be un-whitelisted on all boards. As from then whitelisting will happen on an "invite-only" basis. Only members who post high quality posts could be invited. In later phases you will see that the "reputation" of a member will get more and more important. In the period between now an July 5th no new whitelisting requests will be accepted or processed. The funding of each board is based on engagement mining. You can find more details about the requirements for a board to get funding from BBS in the METABBS post. The requirements are about each board being dedicated to a specific topic, the number of high quality posts, the discussions in the comments section,... Also here it's all about quality. Phase 2 and later phases Step by step the BBS boards will move away from the monetary focus to a focus on quality, member reputation and valuable discussions. Financial rewards will go to the most contributing members of a board. Non-whitelisted members will gradually not be able to see any financial transactions anymore. In later phases quite some terminology which is used on BBS boards today, will disappear. E.g. Community Currency (BANTER on this board) will become "reputation scores". "Purchasing posts" as we know it today will disappear, etc. For more details, please read the METABBS post thoroughly. The Admin and the Mod team know that these changes will change the dynamics on this board. We will most likely see people leave, but also hope to welcome new quality posters. “Personal content” does not mean you need to “rewrite” articles…

Hello Banter Fam! One of the requirements for whitelisting is that your post should have “personal content”. We do this to increase the engagement. Posts should trigger people to comment with their opinion on the topic. If you use an article to start from, then put just the link and maybe the “most important” paragraph or so. Don’t paste the whole text… Most important is that you write something about this article (e.g. why you (dis)agree, what’s your opinion,…) Adding “personal content” is not “rewriting articles” We see more and more people “rewriting” articles they find on the internet. They do it themselves or use writing software. The end result is the same article but written with other words. It doesn’t hold YOUR OPINION and will still be hidden… The best posts are the ones you write 100% yourself, without starting from an article. Self-made texts and memes usually create the most engagement, they get more comments. Tip: in case your English is not so good, then write a text in your own language first and use Google Translate.
