I start with a small reminder that The Weekly Chat will be named The Monthly Chat - that is because we have decided to hold the Twitter Space just once a month – the last Sunday of the month. So the next Monthly Chat will be on the 28th of May.

We will come up with updates and announcements about this and hopefully more people will join to share their thoughts about BBS.

Like always, last Sunday we joined the Space and discussed about what is going on BBS.

Unfortunately, Eyal Hertzog didn’t join due to a trip. We had a couple of questions for him.

We hope to catch him next time and get more insights.

Board owners, moderators and members are concerned about the growth of BBS.

Even if we are in a pilot phase and the team is trying to find the best way to make the platform work and offer good quality content to the end user, there is a concern about how much the BBS team cares about its growth.

What does growth mean in terms of BBS?

Growth of traffic? 

Growth of new members? 

Or growth of quality content?

As we look now,  BBS is searching mainly for a traffic growth. But is that enough to grow most of the communities on BBS?

We (members) need help to promote it and attract new members. At the same time, we need to make those members stay on the platform and spread the word about it.

How can we keep the members stick to BBS?

Is the quality of the content enough or do we need more?

If we need more, what can it be?

I guess anyone can answer this question.

I can answer that we need more stability from BBS when it comes to new changes. Too many and too often changes are not healthy, and people get confused.

And here we talk about the Road Map of BBS.

There is a road map and there are expectations that it is delivered in time.

 It took more than a quarter to fulfill the plan for Q1 and we started the Q2 and nothing from the map was released. 

Maybe more information regarding this and how long the whole process is will help the members understand it better.

So, the progress on BBS is not as we are expecting and is lacking many things, but CryptoRasta87 always says: ‘’we are at the beginning and we are in the pilot phase’’ I hope we don’t lie to ourselves with this and wake up in disillusion. 

This goes hand in hand to the healthy and quality growth of any community. 

We believe that members should take their activity in communities more seriously , especially when they post. 

Your content as a publisher is your mirror in the community. If your content is attractive, challenging and to the point, then you can make people more curious about your work and they will start following you each time you share something. 

Build your reputation as a content creator. This will help you and the community you are a member. 

Do you want to be a partner or your work to be rewarded? So, earn it and make it worth it. 

Some tips we have shared are : 

➡️make sure the title is leading to the idea of your post. 

➡️ Make a short introduction and avoid the greetings, especially the part where many members are writing : ….. and now I am telling you about…. 

➡️ Get informed about what you post - don’t drop a copy paste article or make as shallow post

➡️ And don't write  the text from the end where you ask people about their opinion. It is understandable that they will leave an opinion if they like your content. 

So, for all the members, maybe it is good to think more about the quality of your content. 

As we saw a post on Metabbs asking what’s the best procedure for the future Cash Tipping update, we have briefly discussed about who should benefit of it and we all agreed that cash tipping is for everyone, no matter if is a mod, board owner or a member, as long as their content or discussion is worthing it.  

Of course, there should be taking care that the board owners and the moderators team will not work fraudulently. 

One suggestion from us that we think will be very helpful :

Once we have the pull for cash tipping, it will be great that the board owners get a separate wallet for cashing as well  and not mixed with the one they get the cash from their own posts. 

This will be easier to have control over their earnings as board owners and distribute rewards. 

So, the BBS team, please have  a think about this.  

With all this said, I am happy we had another good talk and many members have joined the Space.
