📌Uncle Sam announced reward for info on Russian Cyber criminals

US State Department through their spokesman Ned Price has announced rewards for info on Russian Cybercriminal gang Conti Hackers. The infamous group is well know for its ransomware attacks across different countries.

The group is estimated to have nearly 350 members. Earlier this year in April, they launced ransomware attack against the Costa Rican government disrupting its customs and tax infrastructure. Earlier in Feburary when Ruassia attacked Ukarine, Conti threaten with cyber attack on any one who speaks aginst the Russian invasion. Further research by FBI stated that the same group launched more than 200 attack on hospital and health care facilities during Covid breakdown.

FBI reserach further indicates that nearly 1000 victims of Conti ransome attack has paid more than $150 million in ransom money till now. The reward announced by US Govt comprises of $10 million for the identification or the location of leaders of the group, and $5 million for information that results in the arrest of anyone conspiring with Conti.
