First, thank you to everyone who took part in the 63tht BBS Community Chat that happened last Sunday on Twitter Space.

Be aware that the BBS Community Chat is happening every Sunday from the month or in extraordinary cases (updates, new suggestions etc.).

There was an idea of removing the partnership from BBS now that we have the Community Poll for tipping best content. The CPM was also reduced that time to 25 and gave the owners more power to reward the members as they wish.

So, the partnership looked useless if any partner or non’-partner could earn equal if their content was excellent.

But the partnership has more benefits on BBS, and it was decided to be kept, and  once again the CPM got down to 5. This is giving full control to the board owners to distribute rewards as they wish.

The partnership is important because it permits anyone who is a partner in a community to make ads. Non-partners can’t do any ads.

So, the partnership is good for avoiding any ads-spamming in any community.

On the other hand, in the past many board owners might have used the partnership to keep the members active and in the communities this resulting with spamming and fraud. ( Some of us can actually remember some examples). 

With the new update it is a better way to avoid such spammers and to get a natural selection of top  contributors. 

But it is important to mention that tipping should not be used   just for  people’s retention in the community. 

Owners have the power to build a community using tipping to enlighten and reward the best content. 

That will make the community successful. 

So, when you invite people to some communities, don’t explain about the rewards they might get, but tell them the potential if the network and that they are going to take part in a good project. 

For the people (like me too 😅) who didn’t understand the tipping system and why we don’t tip in BBS tokens, the tipping is actually in BBS tokens.

Once you get tipped in dollars, the tipping is automatically exchanged in BBS tokens and it gets into your tokens balance.

The reason to tip in dollars is for people’s understanding.

No one knows the value of BBS tokens, but the dollar value is recognizable everywhere in the world. So, it is made more for the readability of the tip.

If for example, you don’t have BBS tokens, the BBS is prompting you to buy BBS with a credit card.

So, remember that every time you give or get tipped, you can see it in your BBS tokens balance.

An interesting suggestion was that the Super Comments value to be shown not only in dollars, but also in BBS tokens. An idea that Eyal said he will mention to the team.
