Since the Update 3.3.0 came live, BBS owners will now be able to transfer ownership of their board to any other BBS member of His or Her choosing.
Why would a BBS Board Owner want to transfer the Ownership?
Well, it could be for Multiple reasons like - The owner is too busy in personal life, wants to retire from BBS, Sees someone who can handle the Board better etc.
So now Lets start the Transfer Procedure.
- Click on 3 dotted Menu (The Owner will find this in the Right side of the Home page.)
- Click on the Transfer Ownership option.
- Now type in the Username to whom you would like to transfer.
Please note that a message will be shown which tells - Make sure to enter the correct account, as ownership is not reversible.
- How to Type the Username?
As you can see in the example below, You have to simply type in the name without adding the "@" tag and the Username with their Profile picture will be displayed.
- Select the Username
Once you select the Username a note will be displayed - Transferring ownership can take up to 3 minutes to fully execute.
- Once you Click on - Confirm. The following message will pop -up
After 3 mins or so the Owner will receive this Notification.
And Finally the Transfer is completed!
How to know the Transfer is complete?
In the About section the Name of the Owner's name will get Changed
From previous Owner..
And the name of New Owner will be displayed.
P.S - The New Owner can still Transfer the Ownership back to the previous Owner.
