Saim You beauty! Saim Ayub gets the big wicket of Alex Hales by bowling a carrom ball . Shadab Khan's 80 in just 51 balls and the late cameo of Azam Khan (29* in 14) helped Islamabad United post a fighting total of 196 runs in 20 overs.

Saim and Babar form the backbone of Peshawar's batting and once Islamabad dismissed them inside the powerplay, Peshawar's hopes went up in smoke as the game headed towards the first over. However, Aamir Jamal put up a great resistance and tore through the bowlers with his thrilling innings of 87 runs. Paul Walter tried to keep them in the hunt but it was a case of a few good overs that pushed the required rate to exponential levels and then it became difficult at the end. Haneen Shah is growing in confidence and supported his brother exceptionally well in the middle overs. Earlier, Naseem Shah spoke on the new ball and got the crucial wicket of Saeem Ayub.

Shadab Khan erred on the short side early in his spell but eventually came back strongly and took the wickets of Walter, Jamal and Talender Zeeshan in the end. It will be a huge morale-boosting win for Islamabad United, who have strengthened their position on the points table as things are looking up for them in the tournament. Earlier, Shadab played a fluent 80-run innings and the middle-order worked to push the score forward which proved to be enough if you factor in their pool. A pace attack that outshines the best batsmen in the business
