No India-Pakistan T20I Series Proposed in ICC Meet Champions Trophy: Report👇

Hey everyone, what's up? Today, I'm going to give you a quick update on the latest news regarding the India-Pakistan T20I series and the 2024 Champions Trophy.

Rumors about an India-Pakistan T20I series at a neutral venue were debunked at the ICC Annual Conference in Colombo. The PCB denied the proposal, focusing instead on organizing the 2024 Champions Trophy due to their busy international schedule. The BCCI might propose a hybrid model similar to the 2023 Asia Cup, with matches in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi is rumored to be planning to invite India for a series in 2025. He wants to ensure that no 2025 Champions Trophy games are held outside the country, but there is uncertainty about whether India will be ready to send a team to Pakistan. This was discussed at a meeting in Colombo.

My Opinion

I completely understand that the PCB's main aim is to host the Champions Trophy in the best possible way, especially with the busy international schedule. Although an India-Pakistan T20I series sounds exciting, it makes sense to focus on the successful organization of the Champions Trophy first. Let's hope both boards can work together to bring more thrilling cricket to the fans.
