Right-arm pacer Chris Woakes bowled as an off-spinner on Day 2 of the third Test between England and Sri Lanka here at The Oval on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the seventh over of Sri Lanka’s first innings when the on-field umpires, due to bad light, told England captain Ollie Pope to bowl spin with Woakes two balls into his fourth over.

I think it's quite amusing and intriguing to see a fast bowler like Chris Woakes suddenly switch to bowling off-spin due to bad light conditions during the England vs. Sri Lanka Test match. It must have been a unique sight for everyone, especially leaving Joe Root in laughter. Despite a few hiccups, Woakes showed versatility by starting off well as a spinner, even though he got hit for a boundary on one delivery. I believe it showcases the adaptability and skill of a professional cricketer like Woakes to switch roles and still give his best on the field, adding an element of surprise and entertainment to the game.

What's your thoughts🤔💭?
