We are finally getting a sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 horror-comedy hit, about a lunatic “bio-exorcist” enlisted by two ghosts to drive a living human family out of their house.

Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to drop on September 6, 2024.

The first trailer for the sequel dropped on March 21 and hints at how the demon has returned to Winter River. Lydia’s curious teenage daughter uncovers a miniature model of town in the dusty attic. The act appears to open some kind of channel for Betelgeuse, who reappears to a horrified Lydia.
