THE WATCHERS

I've been a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan with a few hiccups. I went and saw this one after watching ten seconds of the trailer and I was not disappointed. I would describe this movie as having a dry ending which is unusual for Shyamalan.
This is a story of a old folklore tale, which is told by a woman, who was incarcerated while traveling to a zoo, to deliver a bird, from a pet shop, she worked at.What makes this movie, is the story, that stays focus on Dakota's character and doesn't stray away from that. Dakota fans won't be disappointed.

I was really intrigued when I realized it was based off of Irish mythology. and I love mythology so I was really happy to see that it wasn't some generic horror film. the thriller was the main genre but that's part of what i like about it! i prefer more psychological stuff that keeps you thinking and looking around for clues so i was pretty happy with the more puzzle kind of vibe of it rather than "ooh scary spill your popcorn and almost have a heart attack".
The ending was not a big splashy gore-fest that most horror movies employ... There was a big climax that reminded me the chase at the begining of Raiders of the Lost ark. (Start the plane!) The movie had a logic and stuck to it and I really like it when they do that.... The "Twist" that Shyamalan is so famous for, was absolutely there, but it was subtle and logical, well, for a horror movie and that in itself was unusual....
I didnāt get bored of it one second I was watching it. I was interested the whole time during this movie. They did an amazing job with it and I will definitely be watching it again....I really hope they make another one. Definitely go watch this movie if you are into thrillers ......
