Hello everyone. We're back to talking about anime in this section and we'll start talking about newer and recent series that I highly recommend to watch, if you haven't done it yet. This time I will talk about an anime that started airing at the end of last year and is currently known as one of the best masterpieces ever animated in history. Even nowadays, this series is being talked about a lot, either for its animation, story, characters, battles or visual elements. Some people even compare it to famous works such as Jujutsu Kaisen or Fullmetal Alchemist.

The anime tells the story and life of a millenary elf mage who, after defeating the Demon King and saving the world along with the Hero and his famous team, she begins to embark on a path that will lead her to meet new people and live new experiences. As she watches her companions age and die over the decades, she meets many new and skilled people, among them her new traveling companions.

In this journey we will learn about the life and history of this elf mage and everything that has happened before and after the Demon King. A world where magic is studied and treated as a tool for war and at the same time as a wonder of nature, this elf travels around the world in search of learning all kinds of spells that exist in exchange for some favors somewhat dangerous.

An anime with an incredible story and characters, spectacular animation and visual and sound effects that will leave you in awe. A work that no one asked for but everyone is completely grateful that it appeared because it is so fantastic in every way. It got its popularity, not for being an anime with Fan Service (which it almost doesn't have) or for being the typical fantasy story of the protagonist being a hero with his harem of women, or anything like that.

This anime became popular by breaking the mold and telling us what is actually the continuation of a story already told through the eyes of an elf who has lived a thousand years and has been able to meet thousands of people and places. This story goes beyond what we have seen in popular anime of the fantasy genre and presents us with a vision of a world beyond the one we already know.

The development of the story, which is simple and perfect at the same time, the development of the different characters we meet, the scenes, the battles, the animation of such high quality that it is a wonder and a spectacle to watch and the soundtrack that has this anime makes it worthy of being, for me without a doubt, the best anime of the year. A masterpiece that I highly recommend to everyone, no matter if you like anime or not, you have to see this jewel of animation.

Personally, I give it a well-deserved 10/10 rating for the fantasy, adventure and drama genres.
