Do you like silence?
Some people cannot stand silence and need to have noise. Whether they are working or studying, they need to have noise such as background music.
To them, silence is awkward.
Not all silence is bad.
Examples of good silence are peaceful silence and contented silence.
Imagine that you are looking at a beautiful scene of nature such as a sunrise or a field of flowers or golden crop of grain ready for harvest. It is quiet as you enjoy the sight and enjoy the peaceful silence.
Or your country have gone through a time of war with gunfire, bombs exploding, and planes zooming around.
When the war cease, will you not enjoy the peaceful silence compared to the cacophony of noise during the war?
Then go back to the time you spent with your boyfriend or girlfriend when you were sitting beside on another and perhaps holding hands or with a hand on the other person's lap or waist.
You and your partner has been in that position for the last 1 hour. The 2 of you were not speaking and yet were enjoying the presence of one another in contented silence.
🦋 is a person with SPD or Sensory Processing Disorder. If there is too much noise especially when coupled with the stimulation of other senses like sight, 🦋 can get a sensory overload.
Sensory overload is painful. It can be liken to what an autistic child feels when he has a meltdown. The child you see crying loudly and lying on the floor of a supermarket may not be a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum. Something may have caused him to have a meltdown and the child cannot control himself and is suffering.
Lying on the ground is what psychologists call grounding - it provides a measure of stab
So 🦋 work best and can fully concentrate when there is complete silence.
🦋 like to wake up at 3am to work when everyone is sleeping. When everyone has left the 🏠 and 🦋 is all alone is also a good time for 🦋.
Because of SPD, 🦋 cannot multi task. Instead 🦋 can become so engrossed in the task of working that there is no sense of time or hunger.
So 🦋 can work from morning to evening without eating or going to toilet.
🦋 enjoy the sound of silence. As a HSP or Highly Sensitive Person 🦋 prefer silence to loud noises.
The lyrics of the song contains truths that resonates with 🦋
The song says that there are 👫👬 who talk without speaking and people who hear without listening.
The talking can be empty insincere words that are not spoken from the 🧡.
People can pretend to hear us and yet are not listening to us.
🦋 want to share what 🦋 has experienced in BBS regarding this 2 issues.
There was a person who wanted 👫👬 to be active on his BBS. He said that if they make 3 post and tag 3 persons on each of the posts, they will receive 1 BBS token and have the chance to win prizes.
So 🦋 did what was required but did not get the 1 BBS token or hear of any winners of prizes. All the person said we're empty words and not spoken from his 🧡.
Then there was this comment to earn games that 🦋 participated in.
We were supposed to comment and tag 2 persons in each comment. If everyone faithfully did that that and those tagged join in the game will grow viral and the person who made the post will get a lot of Impressions.
What bugged 🦋 was that what was said in the comments we're empty insincere words. Also what 🦋 kept saying in the comments was not properly heard or listened to.
👬👫 will go to the comments by 🦋 and make comments like- I hear you- I see you- I feel you.
The same person can say the above to several of the comments by 🦋.
Unfortunately they did NOTHING to what 🦋 said in the comments by 🦋
So did they hear/see/feel as they claimed?
They were doing what Simon and Garfunkel said in the song Sound Of Silence:
Talking without speaking
Hearing without listening
