What would 🦋 do if 🦋 won a million $

This post assumes the million is in US$ which is roughly 4.4 million in the currency of Malaysia, RM.

The world has recently reversed the trend of falling interest rates that started in 2008. As a result of the great financial crisis of that year, interest rate was brought down to almost zero in some countries and eventually went into negative interest rates in Japan and in the European Union.

In the USA, the Feds reserve rate is a band rather than a fixed rate. The band was brought down to and has remained at the band of between 0% to 0.25% for many years.

In March 2022 the band was raised by 0.25%

In May it was raised by 0.5%

It is anticipated that there might be 3 more hikes of 0.5% each this year.

The reason for the aggressive rate hikes is that the rate of inflation is going out of control.

There was a time that the Feds funds rate was raised to 20% when the inflation rate was 18%

Will we reach such high rates again? It depends on the rate of inflation which is threatening to rise more.

So the most important use of money is to pay off debt.

The interest that we have to pay on the debts we owe will rise as interest rates go up.

🦋 will pay off personal debt and debt of my children as they will not be able to service their home loan should interest rates spike.

Debt retirement will require 120K.

Spending 💵 uses it up. So it is important to invest it so that it can produce more 💵. In this way our 💵 will not be used up or at least last for much longer than if we go on a spending spree.

What to invest in?

Most 👫👬 try to look for good assets to invest in.

The asset that 👬👫 tend to overlook is 👫👬.

Investing in 👬👫 is important.

When things go wrong, the support we get from 👫👬 is so important. If we had invested in them, in building strong relationships, the relationships will be invaluable.

What are the ways that 🦋 will invest in 👬👫?

🦋 will acquire what helps 🦋 in building relationships.

Currently 🦋 use an entry level phone for internet access and BBS. 🦋 will get a laptop and a higher specs phone that will make it easier to make posts on BBS.

BBS is where 🦋 has been building relationships. 🦋 has a BBS, Memories Of The Way We Were (Memore) that focus on Human Relationships.

This is a BBS for members to share their good 😃😍 memories as well as their sad 😭 or bitter 😡👺memories Recording your good memories here means that they will not be forgotten.Come and revisit them whenever you are feel unhappy.😔😥 Dwelling on good memories will lift up your spirit😊If you are burdened do not keep carrying the load by yourself. 🦋 will invest some 💵 to build up that BBS by buying advertisements and boosting the CPM rate for Memore. 🦋 hope that Memore will be able to reach a lot of 👫👬 to help and encourage those who need encouragement. To improve human relationships and to prevent suicides for those who are struggling.

🦋 is passionate about this because 🦋 has been down that road and was at one time suicidal. 🦋 want to help those who are where 🦋 once was.

The joy of helping 👬👫 and saving the lives of those who would have committed suicide gives 🦋 joy that 💵 cannot buy. The amount of $5K for the equipment and advertisements will be money well spent to invest in what helps 🦋 to fulfill my passion.

Next 🦋, will invest in a small plot of land (1 to 2 acres) for a community farming project. 🦋 will install rain water harvesting system and dig a small pond to hold surplus water that the rain water harvesting cannot hold.

The pond will have fishes and the water from the pond (which is good for plants) will be used for what is grown in the farm.

🦋 will rear some chickens🐓 and ducks 🦆 on the farm so that their droppings will be a source of manure.

🦋 want the farm to be an organic farm with an ecosystem that works together for mutual benefit. Chickens, ducks, fishes, plants, water, working together.

Solar panels will also be installed so that the farm does not have to rely on public electrical supply.

Tools for the farm including rechargeable power tools will be acquired
Grafted plants will be bought so that fruit trees can start producing faster than seed grown plants.

Among the plants that 🦋 will have are papayas and bananas which in an equatorial country like Malaysia with sunshine throughout the year can start producing in a 6 to 9 months.

The herb garden and vegetables will start producing quickly whereas fruit trees like mangoes, starfruit, custard apple, guava, Chicku, soursop etc planted from seedlings bought from nurseries will take 15 months to 2.5 years to produce ( compared to 3-6 years for seed grown trees)

Friends who want to join me in the community farm are welcome.

In this way, we will have healthy organic food.

We will have our own supply of food in a world that is likely to face food shortages.

🦋 will also be able to build relationships with those who come to work on the community farm.

The budget for the above $500K including a 4 WD vehicle to move things around. Agricultural land away from the city is not expensive in Malaysia and so that sum is probably sufficient
Another aspect of investing in 👫👬 is donating to charities and religious activities. The transformation of lives is priceless.

🦋 should have more than enough funds to invest in Cryptocurrencies for passive income and into some gold and silver as an "insurance" should the world economy go haywire

🦋 do not intend to invest in stocks at this point in time.

If the world economy crashes, the stock market will crash. After an initial drop, where precious metals and cryptocurrencies are dragged down by the overall market, these 2 asset classes will do tremendously well.

At that point, some of the cryptocurrencies and precious metals can be used to buy stocks that have been beaten down
