Today I am going
to talk about a movie that in my opinion has been undervalued, due to its calm
plot and slow pace, a beautiful work that I personally enjoy every time I watch
it.
This is a
Japanese animated film released in 1991, written and directed by the great Isao
Takahata, one of the founders of Ghibli Studios (a studio to which I am very
fond) together with Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki ,
logically the animation of this movie is in charge of this studio.
Synopsis
the movie is
about a girl named Taeko, who goes on a trip to the countryside to find
herself, taking with her her 10-year-old self, throughout the trip Taeko has
constant flashbacks from her childhood that she overcomes as she meets in that
place.
yes, the synopsis seems quite simple right? I don't want to discriminate against anyone here, but
I think this movie would be enjoyed much more by the female audience, and one
or another man with enough sensitivity to identify.
(so sit down prepare something to drink because
this is one of my endless posts haha)
CURIOSITIES
all moviegoers
here know the Rotten Tomatoes website, well this movie has a 100% rating on
that website, a rating I more than agree with, the movie deserves all the
recognition, it is a piece of art in every way.
The movie is
based on a manga released in 1987 with the same title as the movie in Japanese
"omohide poro poro" made by the mangacas Hotaru Ukamoto and Yuko
Tone, a fairly simple story that dealt with the day-to-day life of the little
10 year old Taeko.
Takahata wanted
to adapt the story to a movie, but this would be difficult since the story in
the manga lacked a solid plot line, so he came up with an idea, he would take
the stories from the little Taeko manga and write another story where reflect
Taeko's adult life.
It is confirmed
that Takahata was the most realistic side of Ghibli and the animation style of
this movie reflects it very well, in many of the previous Ghibli productions we
could see a fantastic type of animation, but not as realistic as this one, in
the that we could see the expressions in all their splendor and that was
exactly Takahata's goal, although it was much harder to achieve this type of
animation, he achieved it very well, Takahata wanted to capture how the muscles
of the face move when laughing as they close the eyes and the face is
transformed.
without a doubt a great work very advanced for the time, due to the
great workload involved in achieving this type of animation Takahata made a
contrast that in my opinion was very good, leaving the flashback of the little
girl Taeko with the traditional Ghibli animation style and her adult scenes
with Takahata's experimental style (great job).
the landscapes in
this movie are especially detailed and to the surprise of no one (fans) it is
well known that most of the Ghibli landscapes are taken from real landscapes,
and this is still the case, in the early nineties Takahata took the entire team of animators to a rural
area in the Takase district of Yamagata to learn what life was like in the
countryside, the landscape seen in the movie looks remarkably similar, the
Cartamo flowers are delicately detailed, Takahata wanted to capture the hard
work that life entailed in that place and it was all captured in Taeko's
journey.
there is a
documentary of the step by step realization of this movie, from where I base
myself to give you these curiosities it is very fanatic to watch documentaries
haha but if you are interested I will leave it here.
MY REVIEW
Where do I begin?
this movie has
its own identity shouts Takahata wherever you see it, Takahata has a realistic
style telling earthly stories with family dynamics and showing the customs of
Japanese society.
It is no surprise
the wonderful reviews that this movie has, it is very easy to identify with
this one due to all the flashbacks that we see through the eyes of Taeko as an
adult.
who has not
mentally traveled to their childhood? remembering all the things we went
through as children and laughing at our childishness, how innocent we were back
then and our first love.
the movie is
calm, emotional without going overboard, and quite pleasant so much so that you
can't look away, at least that's what happened to me, it's impressive how our
children are too big for us, those conflicts that made us heavy as children
like leaving aside an ingredient in the food that we did not like, the
irrational fights with our siblings (for those we have) when we were
capricious, or when a school subject was difficult for us, everything is
perfectly captured so that you feel a great nostalgia without import the
cultural difference of the movie.
The film shows us
how Taeko faces a personal conflict, in which she is not satisfied with her
present, she feels that she does not belong to the place where she is, which
leads her in search of a trip to find herself, what else? reality check want?
I have nothing to
criticize about this movie, I wouldn't dare, without a doubt this could be
along with "the grave of the fireflies" one of the best works of the
great Isao Takahata a name that deserves respect and recognition.

Flick Chat and News Recently, I read someone's review here about this spectacular anime, so it occurred to me to talk about it.
This is a great anime and if there were 10 seasons I would watch all 10 haha, unfortunately there are only two, but it has manga! Well even if you have never seen this anime I would like you to give me your opinion. 🤗
Before I have to explain what this anime is about and I should have made a Spoiler so if you want to see the anime, go to another post (although I would like to know which side you would be on haha).
Okay, an experiment gone wrong, petrified all humans on planet earth.
a Young Scientist (Senku) has awakened in a completely primitive world, there is no trace of technology aware that thousands of years have passed, with all his scientific knowledge intact he develops a cure for petrification, his plan is to save all humanity from petrification and rebuild a Technological Civilization.
On his way to the goal, he encounters difficulties against Mother Nature, surrounded by Lions, he is a man of science without any physical strength, so with the serum he has created to cure petrification, he decides to wake up a boy named Tzukasa, who he was famous for being "the strongest student" when Tzukasa awakens and kills the Lions with his bare hands and Senku realizes Tzukasa's exaggerated strength.
After Tzukasa studies the current world situation an idea occurs to him, to wake up from petrification only the young "with pure heart" and those who were strong or had some valuable talent, Tzukasa did not want to return to the technological era where created weapons for war, where rich adults owned everything, where people had to pay rent and taxes, he saw adults as tyrants, so he proposed this plan to Senku, destroy the statues of adults and only wake up the youth and children, Senku does not agree with this, Senku wants to help all humanity!.

My review:
If you like series that approach the plot cautiously and with patience,
this is a good option, the plot is quite understandable, it could well be a
series to watch as a family.
this series is among my favorites among all the police series that I
have seen, the crimes are solved with ingenuity, the action is somewhat
realistic, the policemen do not shoot like crazy, they pull the trigger if it
is of extreme necessity, topics such as confronting a loss and overcoming it,
Patrick's character makes this series shine in an unparalleled way great work
of interpretation by Simon Baker.
the characters are the best of the series, the main ones are special,
such as Patrick and detective Teresa Lisbon (played by Robin Tunney) there is
great chemistry on the part of those two, as the series progresses you will
want to learn more from them.
The secondary characters also have their own sparkle, characters like
Kimball Cho (played by Tim Kang), Wayne Rigsby (played by Owain Yeoman) and
Grace Van Pelt (played by Amanda Righetti) are interesting enough and could
well pass for main characters.
this series contains drama focusing more on this, action to make it
more dynamic and comedy of good taste once again mostly given by the character
of Patrick Jane.
The end...
the series has 151 episodes spread over 7 seasons.
and all of us who consume series
know how annoying it is to watch so many seasons and have the ending ruined for
us haha,
now the end of this series... there are those who think that the series
had to end in its sixth season with Patrick's confrontation with Red Jonh, but
the producers gave us a seventh season, in my humble opinion the ending is
perfect I greatly appreciated a season more with this beautiful character And
they gave him a great Glow up, they showed us a renewed Patrick who finally got
over his loss and about to start a new life.

One of my favorite scenes is when Patrick drinks a hallucinogenic tea,
and begins to hallucinate with his deceased daughter, it hit me very hard, this
episode was quite emotional and I felt the pain of the character.

This is a movie written and directed by the genius Hayao Miyazaki, animated
by Ghibli Studios and released in 1997.
This movie begins with a Tatarigami threatening the village of Ashitaka, a
young prince of this village, who trying to stop the Tatarigami from destroying
his village is cursed by him and after Ashitaka manages to kill the Tatarigami,
he realizes that this was a The Boar God of the mountains who, blinded by anger

For those who haven't seen this movie yet, you

MY REVIEW – ANALYSIS (spoiler alert)
without a doubt this movie the older it gets the better it gets, the quality of animation for the time is incredible
Among Miyazaki fans, the environmental themes
that he proposes in his films are known, but this one in particular is one
whose message is deep and powerful, something that only Miyazaki can do through
animation.
In this story we find three points that could
well form a triangle. in one corner we have Lady Eboshi a woman blinded by arrogance, with zero empathy between
the divine or Nature but moved by her people you will be surprised to know that
I have not found this "villain" as a villain as such, she represents
the abuses that the human being commits against Nature to achieve the progress
of Humanity (here we could argue that the end does not justify the means but
when you see the movie you will tell me if you hated it or saw it in a neutral
way.
in the other corner we have San or Zen depending on the dubbing, a girl raised by wolves, with
great contempt for humans, unaware that she is also one, with zero empathy for
the needs of humans, she represents anger and desire of revenge of Nature
towards humans for all the damage and pain inflicted by the human.
In the last corner we have the mediator, someone
who tries to act as the voice of reason, Ashitaka,
a boy with high moral values and a very noble and somewhat innocent
perspective of the world in my opinion.
As the movie progresses we see how Ashitaka's
arm, which has been cursed, reacts to violence and anger, thus giving him a
kind of super strength and precision to kill, so we can assume that every time
Ashitaka gives in to anger, the curse spread throughout his body.
Ashitaka realized this and never gave in to such
feeling and used that force in his favor to serve as a mediator between Lady
Eboshi and San's war
Lady Eboshi, San and even the Gods who protected
the forests are a message that screams that violence, answered with more
violence will create an endless cycle.
why I do not consider Lady Eboshi the villain of
this movie? when Ashitaka after following the trail of the Boar turned into a
Demon he finds Eboshi's factory Ashitaka had already been warned to observe with
clear eyes (free of hate) and come up with a solution , the arrogance and the
bad path that Lady Eboshi was taking were undeniable, however Ashitaka
discovered that Lady Eboshi had given a better life to women who used to work
in brothels, with her factory She gave work and a better life to many of the

dialogues that made me cry was when Osa,
one of the lepers, told Ashitaka...

At this point we realize that Lady Eboshi can be

only by herself but by her people, she did not think only of her well-being but
of those who were loyal to her.
at some point in the movie when everything was
getting out of control Ashitaka asked the Moorish Wolf Goddess a very good
question.
"Why can't humans and the Forest live
together? Is there no way to stop this war?"
which led me to think very deeply about the
message of this movie.
the film portrays the different positions on the
same problem, the characters do not seek to be heroes without flaws, or
incorrigible villains, we can see how everyone has their own concept of
morality and what is right or wrong.
many people think that damage to the environment
is easy to repair, "let's stop doing it" and problem solved, but the
great reality is that it is not as simple as that.
Have you ever heard "humans are the poison of the earth",
"humans are the curse of the earth" or have you even said something
similar? The other day I saw a publication of a person very affected by all the
damage that some humans do to the ecosystem, I could feel his emotions and his
impotence and if he hit me very hard, this is a serious issue and yet some of
us ignore it, others do we take with humor and others try to do even the
minimum to repair the damage.
The great truth is that the progress of the
human being threatens the subsistence of Nature, but the needs of the human
increase and the forests and lakes and the flora and fauna decrease.
The great message of this film does not seek to
leave the human as the great villain, the true villain of this film is anger
and revenge, Miyazaki made clear a message of reconciliation, the human must
find a way to Coexist with Nature and to grow and develop togeth
Nature does not need us to heal but we need it
to live.

well, the story begins with a family living in space Willian our protagonist, and his parents, who when entering an area full of asteroids the spaceship has problems and they have to leave in emergency capsules, because William was in a place of the ship separated from his parents he had to get on a capsule alone, and landed on an unknown planet and it is at this point where the movie gets good, we will see our main character trying to survive with a new friend he made in this planet and a robot.
I really liked it a lot, the animation is excellent and the landscape of this planet is another character, I loved it. It's been a long time since a horror movie caused me any emotion, until a friend recommended this one to me.
The film tells us the story of a sadistic murderer, who kidnaps Finney, a thirteen-year-old boy, keeping him in the basement from which he tries to escape.
This movie was inspired by a real case of a 7 years old boy Steven Stayner delicate enough to mention it here, so if you want to read about the case, Google have many information 😅, at the same time, the story is an adaptation of the short-story with the same name by Joe Hill, who is the son of Stephen King (if you are a regular consumer of horror movies you will recognize his name).

The acting work of these children was surprising from my point of view, as was actor Ethan, whose full face we never saw, but even so, only with his gaze and his voice was he able to give a perfect interpretation.
This movie has a lot to offer both for those who are fans of this genre and for those who consume little of it, you can literally feel the lump in your throat for most of the movie and that feeling in your stomach that I don't know how to explain.
Now some of the opinions that I heard is that this movie is not really a horror movie, but rather a suspense movie. I think it could be classified as "psychological horror" in some way you feel that you are the child trying to escape from the basement and let's remember that it is a murderer that we try to escape so you stay in constant tension, and if one of the greatest strengths of this movie is precisely that suspense.

I want you to know that the description that I am going to give of this production is not exaggerated at all, at least from my point of view, and some here already know that I am sincere with my opinions.
Since the synopsis that I can give of this drama would fall short of description, I am only going to give you my review of it. I hope that after reading it you will decide if you can give this drama a try or not.
so I present to you
with a fairly complex plot that is divided into two:
- a conflict between two sisters who took different paths and lived lives quite distant from each other
- a group of young adults trying to improve themselves and evolving personally in the process.
With a bit of romance and comedy quite well balanced (in my opinion of course) each of the characters portrayed very well developed, with unique and colorful personalities, I couldn't find any flat characters in this drama. It is a very well done and inspiring drama, I laughed and cried along with the characters.
with a very good message of self-improvement, self-reflection, empowerment, loyalty, independence and I can go on haha, this drama takes the place of my second favorite after "its okay to not be okay".
It just so happens that the cast of this drama is something masterful for me haha, they are many of my favorite actors together, and the work they did is simply excellent, each one knew how to give their character their tone, each one was my favorite, in true in this drama there is no antagonist, all the characters have a significant background that makes you sympathize with them.

So I started watching this series and even though I've only seen one chapter I want to recommend it haha.
What can I say? I identify a lot, I studied law and I'm a lawyer, but surely this character loves the law more than I do, the analysis of Mrs. Woo ( Park Eun Bin ) seemed quite realistic, in a criminal case sometimes other matters of law are linked, the process and the The case they present is quite interesting.
Another point in which I identify myself is that I have a nephew with an autistic spectrum, he is a 4-year-old boy who knows the alphabet from the age of 2, recognizes each one of the letters, knows each name of each dinosaur and, like the The protagonist of this drama was until his current age of 4 years that he began to speak or start conversations, so the fact that these people tend to be geniuses despite their limitations to socialize or establish relationships or even to understand emotions is completely real, I am aware that not all people affected by the autistic spectrum develop in the same way, but I think that the performance of this actress is beautiful, my recommendation is to watch it subtitled and not dubbed because that completely changes the perspective of the performance of the characters I really like this series a lot.Jul 17, 2022 Flick Chat and News This is the first

as I said before
you should not take this review as an objective one, because I love this saga.
I love the
conversion process of werewolves and hybrids I love them! and the makeup in
general that they use for vampires.
it is one where the scientific narrative is quite good, they give you a very good explanation of why everything.
What can I say,
in truth this was the first movie I saw of this saga, and the one that
introduced me to the world of underworld, as a score I give it a 7 out of 10
just for a couple of things.
they abuse slow
motion I really like to see action scenes in live motion it makes them more
dynamic in my opinion, slow motion makes me unable to take those scenes
seriously and they even make me laugh hahah but I even give it points for it's.
When I saw the
third movie of this saga I became so fond of Lucian that it seemed very unfair
to me that the trigger for the entire plot of this movie was killed so easily, another of the things that seemed poorly developed to me is how Selene's falls in love with Michael. She literally grabbed him by the neck the first time she saw him... yes, "he saved her life" but she is supposed to be immortal, how could she drown? hahahah really the movie has many flaws but i still like this movie.

the movie is about a 12-year-old boy named Dree parker who
has to face a radical change in his life because his widowed mother must move
with him to China for work reasons, Dree has a bad time because he does not
know the language or the culture and it goes worse when he sets his eyes on a
Chinese girl, the bully from his school does not agree with this and on top of
that he is an expert in martial arts so he makes life impossible for our main
character, so there the story begins to unfold as Dree tries to defend himself.

I really saw this
movie a long time ago, Jaden was so small and I find it very cute, it was
nostalgic for me to see Jackie in this movie since I had not seen a movie where
he acts in a long time and as always, I think he is a magnificent actor, this
movie is familiar and inspiring personally I liked it a lot, the landscapes of
China are beautiful, the movie brings with it a very nice message so if you
haven't watch it I recommend it

MY REVIEW
I don't usually give a rating in my reviews because I really hope you have your own perspective of what I share with you but since this is a saga I'm going to rate them between the one I liked the most and the one I liked the least of the 5 films,
With that clarified, I give this movie an 8 out of 10 because of the 5 it is the second that I liked the most of the 5 movies.
This movie even had a much lower budget than the first movie with 35 million, and grossed less as well at around ninety million dollars.
but because I saw this saga in the order in which they were published, I found the change in cast refreshing, and their work was excellent
I really must warn you not to take my opinion as an objective one haha, well what can I tell you, this movie has quite a few flaws, but I still love it, I'm a fan of all the medieval style and the great acting work of the cast, the story of love is so passionate that even I could feel Lucian's pain.
I really liked that they brought the actors from the first movie and gave it a background, the plot is deep enough!
It is really a pity that they have not had faith in this movie and have put so little love into it, that they have developed a gem of a plot in such a short time, the previous movies have a duration of two hours but this one is an hour and a half.
If I must say that I was disappointed but even so it is one of the ones that I liked the most.
I hope you guys won't be so harsh if you're going to watch it cause I love this movie haha so that was it

Today I bring you a saga exactly about that, a war between vampires and werewolves, and if you thought I was talking about twilight, you are very wrong hahah.
I plan to talk about the whole saga in this single post, but I am the one who is addicted to reading, I am not going to force you to read 5 pages 😆, so I am going to give an introduction and this will help you to know if you will be interested in the next post that I will be uploading on this topic
So sit down for a moment to read this because it's going to take a moment...
Once upon a time there was a Hungarian warlord and nobleman named Alexander Corvinus who rose to power in the fifth century, just in time to see his people die from an unknown plague, Alexander's body managed to adapt the virus into a response immune, thus becoming the original carrier of the corvinus strain the first immortal.
the corvinus strain is a recessive genetic anomaly that when inherited in its active form gives its carrier immortality and has the ability to mutate when subjected to a gene fusion, it is capable of maintaining and harboring more than one virus
Years later he marries a mortal woman named Helena with whom he conceives three children, the first two twins who inherited the corvinus strain in its active form and a third who inherited the strain in its recessive form.
Who must be taken into account in this timeline is the twins, Marcos and William, both twins had a very strong connection with each other, according to the prologue of the novelization of "the revelion of the Lycans" both brothers they were quite trusting because they were aware of the fact that they were immortal, so they both ventured to ride at night with the conviction that nothing could hurt them, one of those nights, they were stalked by a huge raging wolf with black fur that attacked from the shadows of the trees the wolf launched himself first to Marcus who was left helpless because his horse panicked William went ahead of the wolf and killed the wolf with his sword but it bit his wrist in his agony.
Marcus took his twin to a nearby inn, to see his injuries, but willian became ill as the night progressed, the corvinus strain present in Willian's body reacting to the rabies virus and the wolf's DNA, mutating and changing the entire physical composition of william, thus becoming the first werewolf.
later Marcus was bitten by a rabid bat, in unknown circumstances, and we already know the process, his active Corvinus strain reacted to the virus and the bat's DNA, transforming into the first Vampire (how convenient )
Unlike Marcus, William became a Beast unable to control himself and was never able to return to his human form, going to nearby towns infecting entire towns with the virus creating an army of werewolves.
Due to the devastation that his brother is experiencing, a worried William approaches Victor, a lord of the war in a convalescent state, to ask him for his military genius and his army in exchange for immortality, he accepted and became one of the vampires elders along with Amelia. (Although he was Victor's right hand in the novelization and the movies, his character has no relevance and was quite wasted).
Continuing with the story, Vitor turned his army into immortals and thus began the search for William and the war between vampires and werewolves.
this scene located in 1202, 800 years later, a group of soldiers (dead dealers) led by victor arrived at an ungara village, instead of finding only William the army found an entire village of newly converted werewolves, victor's army and Amelia managed to catch William subduing him and seriously injuring him, this was not Marcus's intention, so he argues with Victor for his brother's life, but Victor and Amelia betray him and lock William up for life.
Victor had the idea that if any of the brothers died the immortal bloodline would eventually die but this was a lie told by Marcus.
Marcus couldn't do anything because he was surrounded by Victor's army and they were only loyal to him, So William was locked up on Victor's orders in a place where Marcus couldn't find him, for eternity, and Marcus was put to hibernate.
the army of dead dealers was the first coven of vampires and a chain government was implemented, in which only one of the elder vampires ruled while the other two slept in hibernation until their awakening, thus victor was the greatest ruler of the vampires and was cast as the oldest and strongest vampire.
Well guys you may be wondering why I made you read all of the above haha, well let me tell you something personal, I have a tick for the order haha so much that I amuse myself separating my daughter's garters by color order hahahah.
So, this saga was published without a continuous line order. I really would liked that they gave me this context when I saw the first movie of this saga.
I think that all the fans of this saga would have liked that because the first movie survived by a hair's breadth, being that they only gave us a brief flashback as an explanation in the movie, so if you liked or were interested in what you read...

This movie was released in 2013, so I watched when I was still a teenager and I remember it with love, I really didn't know it was on Netflix but it's available there!
so the synapse goes like this a city divided by a wall, on one side zombies and on the other side humans, humans from time to time must go to the side of the Zombies for supplies and that is how our Zombie protagonist meets our protagonist human after killing her boyfriend🙂.
If you ask me, what is my favorite Zombies movie, this is definitely it, why? just because I want and because I can. This is a very original movie from my point of view, Zombies that heal with love? too cute! but if you think about it logically when you watch the movie... it's pretty twisted xd haha
I've watched this movie about 6 times and I would watch it one more time without getting bored hahah
I really like the script of this movie, it is very well structured, quite creative, in truth I have not seen a movie like this, I liked the visual quality and the effects a lot, haha this review is summed up in I really liked this movie ! LOL

story is about a boy who overestimates his intelligence, a guy addicted to a sweet and quite rude, and two sisters with no sense of gratitude or loyalty haha, these four are brought together by fate? Well, they go on a journey to a place where there are supposed to be no Zombies, and they go through many conflicts with them along the way.
The movie has doses of comedy and action quite well balanced,
Did I mention that I like everything that has to do with Zombies?😆 Well, this is a fun movie on that subject, it's too entertaining. In particular, I became too fond of one of the characters.

The animated series, based on the setting and story of the League of Legends game, presents a complex world where moral decisions abound.
The series shows the differences between a prosperous city (piltover) the city above and another city united in decline (zaun) the underground city A series of events raises tensions between both cities, while two sisters face a war ferocious between magical technologies.
Honestly I'm not someone who likes games, I'm not attracted to them and I thought I shouldn't watch this series since I don't know anything about the universe of this game that this series is based on
but one of my friends recommended this series and said that there was no need to know the game to see the series.
I must say that although the animation is beautiful in my opinion, and I must highlight the world building is something impressive too beautiful, I would even see it just for those funds even if the plot was bad haha
but this is what I wanted to get to, the plot is crazy! Although the first two chapters I was skeptical in the third chapter I got hooked on the plot to the point that I felt in constant suspense haha.
the narrative is something to admire, even if there is some reference that the viewer who does not know about the game cannot identify in the series they explain point by point, I tell you that the narrative of this series is incredible!
And I love imagine dragons xd it is the only series in which I don't omit the intro haha.
