Director Dharmesh Darshan did an excellent job in portraying the love story of Raja and Arti. Aamir Khan, known for his good looks, delivers a striking performance as the charming and honest taxi driver who falls in love with Arti. Karisma Kapoor also shines in her role as the strong and sensitive Arti. Despite facing opposition from their families, they find love in each other and get married. However, their relationship faces obstacles when misunderstandings and family drama lead to a rift between them.

At a party, Raja is wrongly accused of misbehavior due to a misunderstanding created by Arti's relatives. Despite knowing Raja's innocence, Arti reacts harshly towards him and their relationship suffers. Hurt by her behavior, Raja decides to leave. However, when Arti realizes her mistake and repents, Raja forgives her and their love is rekindled. Despite the belief that marriage is a lifelong commitment, it is vital for couples to communicate and understand each other in order to have a successful relationship. Aamir Khan's powerful and passionate performance adds depth to the film, making it a blockbuster hit. Even after watching it on television in 2018, the scene where Arti prays for her husband's long life before a mirror on Karwachauth stuck with me, as it coincidentally happened when my own mother was doing the same. This film truly showcases the power of love and the complexities of relationships.
