My husband threw the BIGGEST tantrum because I need major surgery

I'll need a major surgery soon with an estimated recovery time of approximately 2 months and I'll need bed rest for at least three weeks post-op.

Told husband because we need to plan childcare and whatnot. Did not expect him to throw the biggest tantrum the entire time I've known him. He kept saying he can't take care of me, and shot down every idea I proposed, like hiring a help to handle the chores. In the end he was screaming, quote, "It's ridiculous you have no one but me!" meaning, I should have a close friend who will come and help on a daily basis for free. I don't. If a friend is helping then I'm paying them because this is too huge a favor to even ask. My husband disagrees.

In short, my husband can't care for me and doesn't want to pay someone to, even though we have the funds. I see he sees me as a complete burden now.
