Hello Sativa Family Members 

We are all aware of award ceremonies where skeptics among us are convinced that winners often come from the ranks of the main sponsors. I’m personally aware from my own past involvement that this is purely co-incidental and the time that independent judges put into their deliberations is commendable. With the only reward being a place at the awards dinner!

So the award I received last month in Monaco is particularly special as this was made by the judges themselves with no company sponsorship in sight. So I’d like to thank the judges for their consideration and decision. I must also thank all the great people I’ve worked with throughout my long career, especially those at Datacenter People. A company is only as good as its people, and DCP has some of the best. 

Since winning the award, I have been asked (many times) if I will now retire….the answer is ‘no’. I will however be moving over to the newly launched Datacenter People subsidiary, Portman Partners, to focus on Executive Search, Consulting & Advisory and Interim Executive assignments. I’ll still wear the DCP hat from time to time, working with existing clients and I will remain as Chairman of Datacenter People, but our DCP MD Steve Brown, will take over the day-to-day running of the company.

It’s a privilege and an honour to be recognised within this great industry and I look forward to continuing to serve, and to seeing you all in Monaco next year .
