What interests me about it is how the balls are in motion, and how their momentum changes.
Momentum is a term that describes the strength of a moving object. Objects that are not moving, do not have any momentum. Things that are moving have less momentum if they are lightweight or moving slowly and the opposite is true if they are moving fast or are heavy.
Momentum can be calculated as mass x velocity.
In @mmk's game, momentum is what keeps the ball moving unless he stops it.
Here you can see another example in this excellent video of Newton's cradle. When one ball hits the other, it grants it the momentum to move, and so they go back and forth, dancing to the beat.
But there is more.. today I took my kids to the park. My son's both love to spin. They could spend days spinning and never getting dizzy. In the video you can see my little one perform another type of momentum, called angular momentum.
Angular momentum’ is when an object spins around, as in a top, instead of proceeding in a straight line.

This is the same type of momentum that planets have to keep spinning.
