⛵Soap powered boat.. Experiment! 💡

💡After some time I want to show you another experiment.. It is really big fun mainly for kids.. If you saw a video you can easy imagine that they can have great time with working on boats becouse there are no limits to imagination here.. 😁⛵ It should mainly be light.. I did only very basic shape cuted from hard paper..

So what you need?

- A container with CLEAN water - the bigger the better - I used a baking sheet

- Scissors and paper for making a boat

- Fantasy.. If you don’t want to have ugly boat like me, kids will really help with this😉

- Liguid soap

How it works?? 🤷‍♂️

This is an experiment of different liquid..💧 Due to surface tension, the surface of a liquid at its edge exerts a surface force on a boat.. This force is always perpendicular to the edge of the surface. We can also think of it as a liquid trying to "reduce its surface".🌊

Effect you can see, and why does the boat start floating on its own, is becouse the soap weakens the pull that water molecules have on each other.. Then the water want to pull awaw and takes boat with it..⛵

Easy isn't it? But I tried to explain it by my own words so I don't know if it is fully understandable.. So please give me know..😁
