Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are in a tense fight for 4th placing in the EPL that will get a place in next season's Champions League.

Tottenham surprisingly got crushed by Newcastle 0-4. If Tottenham had won against Newcastle they would have had 63 points compared to Villa's 60.

Moreover the 4 goal loss damaged their goal difference and Villa now has a 1 goal better goal difference.

The loss by Tottenham has made the match between Villa and Arsenal which will kick off in a few hours time a crucial match for both teams. A win for Villa will give them a 3 point lead over Tottenham.

Arsenal also need full points from the match in order to regain the top spot in the EPL. Manchester City who won 5-1 against Luton now has a 2 point lead.

A loss for Arsenal will be a severe blow that may well destroy their chances of winning the EPL. Winning in midfield may give Arsenal the win they require. All of their midfield players including   Declan Rice, Thomas Partey, Jorginho, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe, Kai Havertz and Fabio Vieira to make up their midfield trio are available. Arteta has so many of them to choose from.
