My last post was about the exciting current season compared to the last 6 seasons.

The post included a summary of the top 3 teams for each of the seasons. The winning side had far more points than the 3rd place team. Starting from the 2017/18 season to last season the gap was 23, 26, 23, 17, 19, and 14 points.

The seasons were either dominated by 1 team or had only 1 team near the winner. For example, Manchester City had 19 points more than MU in 2017/18 and 12 ponts more in 2020/21 while Liverpool had 18 points more than City in 2019/20.

Only die hard fans of the winners are happy and even for them watching the last few matches of the season will lack excitement as their team has already won the EPL irrespective of the results of the matches. 😴😴

This season has 3 teams (Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City) neck to neck. Up to 6 weeks ago Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa was in the fray and both these teams have lead in the EPL table. Dropping points in recent games have caused them to drop out of the top 3. Last season, Arsenal led the table for a substantial part of the season but finished as runners up 5 points behind Manchester City. Arsenal has also led in this season's table before several poor matches saw them drop off. Two big wins (6-0 against West Ham and 5-0 against Burnley) has allowed Arsenal to claw back into contention as EPL winner.

A recent article suggest that like last season, Arsenal will falter and drop off again. https://www.teamtalk.com/arsenal/arsenal-told-worrying-reason-title-challenge-fizzle-out-man-city-liverpool-boasting-key-advantage#:~:text=Premier%20League%20has%20produced%20a%20three%2Dway%20title

Do you agree with the above article?

Arsenal is a good side but are not as consistent as Manchester City and Liverpool.

CAN ARSENAL WIN THIS YEAR'S EPL?

My favorite clubs are Manchester United and Arsenal in that order.

MU seems to be too far behind and is highly unlikely to win. I hope that my next favorite, Arsenal, will win. πŸ¦‹
