For some time now, Arsenal fans have been tracking the club’s interest in Riccardo Calafiori and even now it could be a possibility. But despite end of summer transfer window there are recent indications that talented Italian defender can still move.

Calafiori has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time due to his strong defensive qualities and support from the back. Having produced impressive performances thus far the 21 year old AS Roma player is much sought after by many top European clubs. The Gunners’ interest in him falls in line with their plan of strengthening their defence and building a team capable of competing at the highest level.

According to sources close to Emirates Stadium even though summer didn’t bear any fruits Arsenal is not fully satisfied with letting go of hopes for Calafiori. The club’s management has already made critical decisions relating to future transfers without leaving out Calafiori as a priority.
Somehow this is what Arsenal fans need right now. It keeps the spirit alive that the next transfer window could bring them Calafiori which will further boost defense of their squad and improve on last season performance.
