Ok down to brass tacks, on an unprecedented move Jamaica has adopted its CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) as legal tender!! The first in the industry, Jamaicans can now use it domestically next month and also for them to use the Jamacian dollar there is no need for a bank account, they do have an digital exchange called Jam-Dex, according to it's Governor, Richard Byles. This leading step towards digital currency will give Jamaicans a more secure alternative to physical currency. Other countries like India are developing and almost ready to launch their own CBDC's and also Brazil partnered with Stellar Development Foundation to develop a CBDC. So now were are at the brink of adoption at least for digital currencies...the next step, crypto!!
