I am confused as to why professional critics have given this movie negative reviews. I went in with low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. Despite the talented cast, I anticipated a mediocre action comedy, but there were very few negative aspects and not much comedy either. Ultimately, it turned out to be a mediocre action flick with some humorous moments, although some attempts at humor fell flat.

The plot was average for an action movie, nothing groundbreaking, but at least there were no major plot holes or mindless action scenes. The only issue was the incredibly poor aim of the supporting characters, but this is a common trope in action films.

The special effects were decent, and it was evident that the filmmakers invested money into them. The cast, particularly Allison, delivered solid performances in her usual serious role, while John Cena surprised with his range of emotions on screen. It would have been interesting to see how he handled a romantic scene, but that may have been asking too much.

Juan Pablo's acting was at times over-the-top for my taste, but still tolerable. It was also a pleasant surprise to see Christian Slater in the movie.
