Looking for suggestions

Hello all, I'm here looking for suggestions whether or not watch one piece anime. 

I have heard that it is a good anime and trending right now but I am not sure if I should watch it or not. That's where you guys come in. As a board of entertainment, you guys can guide me properly. 

I have also heard that it has over 1000 episodes, so is it worth my time my time or not? If not then I can watch something else like Alice in borderland etc.
