This is added onto Netflix, and is 2021 horror film, that I can certainly recommend to fans of the genre, and if available on your Netflix service.

From the creative minds behind "Sinister" and the masterful director (Scott Derrickson) of "The Exorcism of Emily Rose", and "Doctor Strange" comes this thrilling short story-to-film adaptation.

In a nutshell, we follow the story of a young, intelligent boy named Finney Shaw (Mason Thames) who is held captive in a basement by a sadistic killer, The Grabber (Ethan Hawke). When a disconnected phone rings Finney discovers that he is able to hear the voices of past victims.

Like with the horrifying "Sinister" I was once again on-the-edge-of-my-seat enveloped with suspense as I watched everything unfold.

An absolutely recommendable film for fans of suspenseful horror. Watch if your interest piqued and available to you.

There was definitely no minute to waste in "The Black Phone". There were great performances turned in by both Hawke and Thames too
