My 1st footy match in Thailand😍Nakhon Pathom V Uthai Thani⚽

Well, that was a first and off I went to a footy match at my local stadium just one kilometer from my house with my friend that passed out watching Argentina win the world cup🤣🍺🍺🍺 ...luckily he didn't pass out this time🤪 A pre-match beer was in order at a local restaurant nearby an hour before kickoff👍 So to the match: Nakhon Pathom United versus Uthai Thani FC and a Premier league match. Both of these teams have just entered 'Thai league 1' this season, so a lot of new teams and places to be figured out. Lol, it rained the entire match but the rain stopped bizarrely only for the 15 minutes of half time😲 The atmosphere was great and a near capacity crowd. The away team had their own percussion band too to add a bit of noise and fun.😍 Nakhon Pathom didn't start too well with a player red carded for a bad foul early in the game ..so down to 10 men after just the 14th minute. As you footy fans out there know, the odds are then stacked against you. The first half was all about Uthai Thani with the ball hardly ever in their end. Shortly after they took advantage of this one man down and scored the first goal in the 26th minute ...a very disappointed home team indeed given the bookie odds too pre-match were strongly in favour of the home team winning this match. Half time no rain and my friend off to fill up the big plastic cups with more beer. Lol, you are not supposed to consume alcohol in the stadium but the security is lax to the point that if you disguise it to look like 'apple juice' then no worries😂 ...funny how many folk were drinking apple juice last night🤪 The second half came alive and the atmosphere elevated with a mixture of better play by the home team and the apple juice now consumed collectively by this point😎 Guns a blazin and Nakhon Pathom leveled the score in 73rd minute much to the happiness of the home crowd. Shortly after in 85th minute another one making it 2:1 and that's when I took the quick video above (bit late after the standing ovation) . With 4 minutes extra time, the home team managed to keep the score the same and good enough to get the win that most were saying was going to happen.👍 So, for Nakhon Pathom's new try in 'Thai league 1' they are doing ok with 2 wins and 2 draws placing them in 6th spot after 4 games played. The fans are really happy about this ..as for the losing team, they are now dead bottom with 4 losses, but it's early days in the season eh ..good luck to both teams and their new league spots🙏 Lol, I guess they waited till now as the rain stopped oh so briefly lol. All in all, as my first experience at a proper footy match, I really enjoyed myself and I will go again ...for ticket prices from $4 to $6.50 it is a great night out😍 Post-match, back to the same restaurant and meet up with a few other mates and more beer to be drink, drank, drunk along with some rather nice food. Finally home at 1am and what a fun night that was ...must do it again 4sure👍🍺🍺🍺🤪🙄😵😵😵😂 Cheers, CryptoGlyn🦆.

Goooo Argentina🙏 What a match that was😍 Just recovered😵 🔺READ ! BBS tokens on their way🔺🏆

Oh blimey, that was just one helluva match and @dailyupdate called it right for extra time😲 Was hoping after the 2-0 and about 10 or 12 minutes to go it would be game over and I could go to bed ...but noooooo 😥 Boom 2-1 with what like 8 or minutes left, and I thought great as that is what i predicted in the last competition ...but nooooo again 2-2😨😱😱😰.  And on and on it went, edge of the seat stuff. Another 30 minutes and two more goals 3-3😵. Blimey , it's way past midnight now but I keep watching. Finally the penalties sorted it all out and the result was wonderful. Well done Argentina and so nice for Messi and in honour of Maradona too🙏🙏🙏 Lol. The night didn't go without incident and my German friend passed out ...yep far too much 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🤪 and he missed all the extra time and was taxied home😂😂😂. I took loads of photos but for some strange reason, all my later photos as the game progressed are not good ...lol I think my cheap phone is giving up. So Sorry but only these. 🙏 Finally got to bed just before 2AM my time as watched the award ceremony too. What a world cup and I'm so happy that the team I predicted to win all the way back in early November won ...not bad from a bloke who's knows next to squat about footy.😎 As promised 20BBS tokens for the commenters on my post from yesterday🙏 kryptokitty@bbs zaibijaskani@bbs Daily_Update@bbs LGuigs@bbs kaami@bbs Joapatagon@bbs salmanarif@bbs mbilalhussain0@bbs mmk@bbs Urhaan@bbs MrsAnonymous010@bbs So, all the above 20BBS will be sent very soon (11 members in all) to those that left a decent enough comment on that post. The big day is upon us😍 Football World cup final 2022. Argentina V France⚽ I suggest you read🏆

Well, this will probably be my last footy post as I only engage in the world cup, canny stand all that English footy lol.🙏 So the big event is with us in less than 7.5 hours😍😍😍 This should be one helluva game😲France the world cup holders versus the mighty Argentina who last won in 1986 with Maradona as the man that really made the difference back then. I'm rooting for Argentina and I'm sure @Joapatagon is too for his country to lift that trophy once again🙏. It's been a long time for Argentina and I really feel it's their time. Messi would like to go out with a bang for sure and it would be such great timing too in honour of the great Maradona who passed away just over 2 years ago.🙏  However, France are formidable and that Mbappe at such a young age is one wonderful player with I guess another 3 world cups to try in too; his future looks bright. Looking at the FIFA screenshot above: Boy, it couldn't be tighter 35% to 34%, nothing to call in it as to who may win. I'm hoping either way that it is decided in the first 90 minutes as the tension will be too much for me if it goes into extra time lol🤪+ I'll have to order more 🍺🍺🍺!!! I predicted Argentina would win the world cup in the competition here on SportX way back before it all started in mid-November, so I'll get a share of BBS there. I've predicted 2-1 to Argentina in @Individi's latest pinned post competition too (Go check it out kids👍Simple easy to enter) , and I have a sizeable bet with friends in a pool which now I'm the only one that can win it as no one picked France lol ...so come on Argentina for my BBS and some big bucks💲💲💲 too.🙏 ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽If you've read this far then good, so read on ....⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽ As a gesture of good will to members here on SportX: I will send 20BBS tomorrow only IF Argentina win  to ALL who leave a decent and meaningful comment below on who you think may win and why, and who you are hoping wins today. (Short replies won't count). 😎 **Comments only until kick off apply (3PM UTC) So, lol, it may cost me a bit, but its my way of adding some good karma for Argentina too. If France win then sorry all, no BBS sent.🙏 I'm watching the match in 7.5 hours from now on a big screen at an outdoor pub in my town with a bunch of friends too. Should be a great atmosphere and looking forward to my tonight here at 10PM local time (Kick off 3PM UTC) 😍🍺🍺🍺🙏⚽ Have fun all and enjoy the big game🙏 Cheers, CryptoGlyn🦆

Come on Blighty !⚽🙏🙏🙏⚽ Huge match tonight at 19.00 UTC🙄🍺🍺🍺

Well, the time of reckoning is nearly upon us😲. England play the World cup holders France in about 7 hours from now. It's 2AM kickoff here in my country but I will endeavor to stay up and watch it🥱🥱🥱. I watched the England Senegal match a few days back until half-time in a pub packed with about 50 supporters pretty much all rooting for England. It was 2.50 AM in the morning when I gave up after numerous 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 too🤪🥱🥱🥱. Come on Blighty ! I've been waiting patiently for 56 years🤪 However, I really hate to say it, France is one helluva team and with Mbappe as their lead scorer, he's already scored 5 goals so far this world cup👍, I fear it will go their way.😨 Looking at the "win probability" above it's marked as "bloody close!"😲 ...so come on my motherland and please make an old man happy🙏🙏🙏 So, who do you think will win? I hope England and I hope for a final set-up of England versus Argentina too, but hey that's another week away. Comment below cheers.🙏 BTW: Watched the Brazil-Croatia game last night and what a cracker too and that goalie was all over it yet again with their second penalty shootout game in a row ...kudos to Livakovic 🙏. Lovin this world cup and will try to watch as many games as possible ...24 and counting😍 Get ready to cheer England on @Lguigs 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺😍 Cheers, CryptoGlyn.🦆⚽⚽⚽

FIFA World cup last 16 ready to go!⚽😵🍺🍺🍺 My fun in the WC too😍🙏🙏🙏

Well what an amazing couple of weeks it's been so far.😍 There's been some predictable winners but then some great surprises too.😲 I've watched 19 games so far as I can remember and count, and some of those matches and teams have been quite entertaining.😍 Alas as you can see from the times, all the 'right-side' matches are 2am my time here in Thailand😥 but all those on the left I will try to watch, and out of those I'm really looking forward to the Japan-Croatia match.😎 My favourites from the group qualifiers have to be Japan for really upsetting the balance of things. Beating Germany was a great match to watch and then to go on and beat the almighty Spain was just plain brilliant eh. Their next match against Croatia will be a good one, and ya know, I'm going with Japan to win that one.😎🙏🙏🙏 The best goal I have seen was the one scored by Australia against Denmark which essentially sealed their place in the last 16 too. Scored in the 60th minute by Mathew Leckie after a 3/4 of the field unassisted run to go past 2 defenders and the goalie with a pinpoint kick. I dunno a lot about footy, but this goal was the best I've seen and maybe "they", the footy experts. will deem it too. Cracking goal and the importance of it too: To seal Australia's "last 16" appearance since 2006. 👍 The most lively fans have to be Senegal😍 and boy their team have done so well to get to the last 16 also. I'm impressed the way they play and they may just upset England in their next match, although I guess they are the clear bookies faves eh.😎 Watched them twice and the whole games were entertaining and their supporters just make it so much fun too.🙏 Those SENEGAL guys at the front just never stop ..more energy than the players on the pitch! lol.🤪 . 😎Oh and one for the records: No team won all their 3 matches in the qualifiers. Best was 2 wins and a draw (7 points) by 3 teams: Netherlands, England, and Morocco.😎 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 So, have fun all and keep on enjoying the world cup. Comment below too on your fave moments and who you think might take some of the coming matches. Happy Saturday all🙏 . Cheers, CryptoGlyn.🦆

Japan V Costa Rica, Group E. I've been waiting for this one😍 (Sunday 10AM UTC)

Well, in just another 2 hours or so at 10am UTC Japan versus Costa Rica kicks off in group E. As can be seen  by the group standings, Japan are in 2nd spot behind Spain after Spain had that monstrous win over Costa Rica at 7-0 thus on goal difference miles ahead. 😲 As the FIFA odds go, they have Japan way ahead of Costa Rica for a win at 65% versus 13%, which TBH and IMO is a bit generous ..Costa Rica aren't that bad are they?🤔 Yes, Japan's win over Germany was impressive and I do think they can carry this through to today and score a win against their opponents ...Just 1:0 I think would be good enough for qualifying, but more goals the better to make sure.  The next big game obviously to watch is Germany V Spain and basically Germany must beat Spain to have any chance of qualifying now ....but many think they won't😨 Unfortunately for me, I'd love to watch this game but it's a 2AM kickoff where I live. As my German friend here that I watch a lorra footy with has already said: "They don't deserve it and it's 2018 all over again"; he's not too happy this week I can tell you.😥 Moreover, this group could be decided today without the 3rd round matches; if Spain and Japan win their matches then that's it and we have our 1,2 qualifiers.😲😍😍🍺🍺 What do you think of group E and who do you think will qualify? My money is on Spain 1 and Japan 2 (as in the last 16 competition on SportX) ...do you see any other outcome that you favour personally?  Have fun in 2 hours ...looking forward to this one.🙏 Comment below if you wanna👍🍺🍺🍺 Cheers, CryptoGlyn.🦆

Morocco V Croatia , Group F match round up. Nil bloody Nil !🤪🍺🍺🍺

Well a quiet first half until virtually the 45 minute and the best attempt yet by Croatia, kudos to the goalies save. Then in the 47th minute a fierce long kick by Modric just skimming the top bar. Alas 0:0 after the first half, but Croatia slight favourites to win🤔 . As seen yep Croatia slightly ahead on most counts but possession quite a bit more.😍 The second half much better, but 53 mins Mazraoui number 3 taken off after hurting his hip in a flying header at the goal. Game picking up and now watching on my computer as my satellite TV buggered due to heavy rain after the 75th minute lol.🤬🍺🍺🍺🤪 85 minutes in and still nuffin nuffin (just like that Danish match lol). Prob now 81% a draw 0:0😨 11.50am UTC: 6 minutes of extra time added and it's all down to this and ...... ......Modric takes a dive 93 minute😲 ...and it's game over 0:0 ...happy coaches make a big hug😍 On with the next matches and yet another goal less game. There's been better like the Saudi Argentina match eh. Surprised Croatia didn't get a goal at the end of the day. Heres the final FIFA stats. Apparently the 3rd 0:0 of the world cup so far🙄 This is the second one I've personally seen after the Denmark Tunisia match and I just saw that the other was Mexico Poland . Seen 6 out of the 9 matches so far ..going well  😍 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍 Cheers, CryptoGlyn.🦆

Blimey ! Thai's after all will be able to see all 64 WC footy games on TV ..pff, close call !!!😲

In the dying last minutes before the deadline to pay FIFA the bill for broadcasting rights, they've just about managed to scrape the cash together to what amounts to a "beg. borrow. steal" approach😂 But hey, now Thai's will be happy they can watch this ...and me too😍 ...so come on the big screens down the pub and lots of 🍺🍺🍺 yeaaaah !🙏 "This will bring the total cost for the broadcast rights to about 1.4 billion baht." So, they managed to knock off 200 million Baht off the total bill. Wonder how many other countries might 'try it on' for the next World cup in 2026?🤔 "The SAT had sought about 1.6 billion baht from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission for the broadcast rights, but the regulator pledged only 600 million, forcing the SAT to seek the balance of the funding from the private sector. True Corporation, Thai Beverage and PTT have agreed to contribute a combined 400 million baht, which was still about 600 million baht short of the amount being demanded by FIFA" So, 600 million from the government (when really private sector 'should' fund this🤔) and 400 million from 3 companies: True (communications), Thai Bev. (loads of monopoly beer) and PTT ( number one gas station in Thailand) ..all of which is a piss in the ocean for these three companies who will now benefit with drowning Thai's out with advertising over these 64 matches ..133 million each an absolute bargain.🤪 "Kongsak did not elaborate as to from where the rest of the money, about 400 million baht, will come" ...LMAO. yeah, I guess off the nearest money tree 'Thai-style'😎 So yep, "Beg borrow, steal", but now all is happy in the "Land of Smiles"😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏

Footy world cup 2022, maybe not able to watch in Thailand😨. Very very sad😥😰😭

With just a few days to go and the broadcasting rights to air the world cup have not been paid for. The price is 1.6 billion Baht. Sounds a lot but not really.😎 www.nationthailand.com/thailand/40022044 for following bold quotes: "He added that SAT had been in talks with Fifa but the price was unlikely to be lowered before the deadline on Friday (November 18). If Thailand failed to sign the contract by the deadline, viewers would not be able to watch any of the World Cup’s 64 matches on free TV, he said." The price of 1.6 Billion Baht which equates to just under 45 million dollars, in good old Thai fashion, they are trying to haggle the price down. According to TheThaiger.com: Fifa has already said NO as of 15th November. Furthermore, the government also said they would pony up 600 million Baht and another 600 million from (cough) the government too🤔: "Kongsak Yodmanee spoke after receiving 600 million baht from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) On Sunday, Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said he hoped SAT could negotiate the price down to 1.2 billion baht. Phiphat’s plan is to borrow the other 600 million baht from the National Sports Development Fund and be repaid by private advertisers after sponsorship rights have been negotiated. The World Cup has been broadcast on free TV in Thailand since 1970." So, two branches of the government when really it should be a private enterprise that funds this from the off: The revenue made from advertising is astronomic and no one can be bothered. This a very sad day for Thais as here they are sooooo passionate about football and to miss out on being able to watch match by match in Thai commentary too is just unfair IMO. As some Thai's have said: " 'That' company in Thailand have a near monopoly over, supermarkets, convenience stores, malls, food, drink, animal feed ...and so on. Just one day's profit is more than the bill for the World cup rights". And I tend to agree. Why doesn't this big company buy the rights then advertise all its usual crap anyway? Thais are at a loss why. The clock is ticking and only 4 days left. Very sad.😰 Ok, watch it via the net/IPTV ...umm, Imo, and lol ...it will crash big time with 20+ million Thais tuning in at the same time ....and that will be super sad.😰 Come on someone in Thailand (or "That" big company) chip in and make Thais happy eh.😍 Me too and my expat mates ...we are all looking forward to it, don't let us down🙏 Feel lucky in your respective countries where you can watch ok.👍 Cheers, CryptoGlyn.🦆

Argentina will win the 2022 World Cup!😍 My comp. entry ..rightly so or wrongly so.🍺🍺🍺😎

Well, here's my entry the beloved team of SportX and their moderation thereto🙏 I know next to nowt about footy and in general as I once told CryptoSookie, "I'd rather eat a plate of dirt than watch footy" ...however, my only time I do get involved in footy is once every 4 years for the world cup and that's it. Great time to spend with mates round each other's houses and of course down the pub. 😍 So, let's have a breakdown and here goes. Why do I think they will win?🤔 They've won twice before but not for a long time, so could be due, and they are a South American team👍. They're pretty good down that part of the world given Brazil are quite kick ass and Uruguay gave it a good go some time back😍. I have bets on with some mates already😲... and in the history bit I shall give further reasons why. But for now, I like their blue and white shirts and even Leo beer in Thailand is doing some cool promo cans with different flags ...low and behold, I ended up with their flag on ma cans of beer the other day ..that's a good omen eh😍🤪🤪🍺🍺🍺 Players: Umm, only know one lol🙄 I know a bloke called Messi. He's getting on a bit now so I guess it would be nice for him to win a world cup too before he gives up footy. The last world cup he played in 4 games and only scored one goal ..pretty bad eh, so I hope he can get it together and score shedloads this time. 😎 History of Argentina: The really best bit!🤪 Well, the best ever moment has to be "The hand of God"🙏🙏🙏. To me the most legendary moment of footy ever that English footy fans still whine and moan about until today.😂😂😂 Yep, you all know the history of that Quarter final and knocking England out, but as Maradona himself said: "Maradona later said he considered the goal to be "symbolic revenge" for the United Kingdom's victory over Argentina in the Falklands War four years earlier." Wikipedia 'Hand of God'. So for that little bit of history, I wonder if Argentina will meet England once again in 2022 somewhere down the line and show them what's what. Sorry to say as an Englishman I am: I don't think England will ever win a world cup again. Tired of waiting since I was two years old😎 and if they do meet Argentina then England just cannot beat them IMO, but hey lol you can argue that one with me Blighty fans.😂 Questions for discussion🤪🙄🙄🍺 Well, please comment if you actually know something about footy and Argentina's footy team for real as I don't know excrement really, so sorry in advance🙏 Who would I like to win?😍 I always love the underdog teams to do well. In 1990, Cameroon with a bunch of basically working lads and with a tiny national budget, as opposed to those teams like overpaid England players, made it all the way to the quarter-finals where England did knock them out, but kudos to them and really showed up those overpaid players along the way. Soooo, yep love to see Cameroon (at 250/1 on William Hill) win it. So, there we go SportX team, my entry in the competition🙏 Ok ...not ok? I won't be offended if not ok😍 but I did try to answer the bullet points laid out as you can see🙏 Have fun all and enjoy the World cup. I'm looking forward to it and may drink more 🍺🍺🍺 than usual too. Whooo hoo, come on Cameroon and Argentina too!!!😍😍😍👍 Cheers, CryptoGlyn. 🦆

What I've always looked most forward to in a year: The world snooker tournament at Sheffield UK.😍

Where to start? Well, from about 1980 until 1998, Every single year, I watched the world snooker championship over the 2 odd weeks from the last 32 to the final table which is usually around the first week of May. I've also been to the "Final" 2 days on two occasions: 1992 and 1998 with my lovely dad who was the man that introduced me to the game of snooker at the age of 9 ....by the age of 26 I was playing semi-pro matches and quite dedicated to the sport one might say.😎 Nowadays, since I live abroad, I rarely see the matches blow by blow as I did televised in the UK, but I watch the highlights, talk to my mom about it as she still watches every year many of the matches over the 2 odd weeks at the age of 88 (she got hooked because of me and my dad were mad for it lol) and so to this day, even though I'm a very rusty player I still enjoy it immensely and look forward to that time each year; watching a bit but more importantly chatting with my mom about it from 10,000 km's away.😍 Now to the three favourite moments of world snooker from my memory. Yep some good and some bad too, one on the telly and two when I was actually there.😍😍😍 1985: Dennis Taylor versus the number one Steve Davis. Well, lol, I made a post on this some months ago in SNOOKER and POOL if you wish to view. This is recognised by many as the most nail biting finish in snooker history and probably the best final there ever was. The final score was 18-17 to Taylor over Davis, who at this time in the 80's was unstoppable. It all came down to the very final ball being the black and to quote Wikipedia: "It finished at 00:19 and, with an audience of 18.5 million, it remains the most-watched programme in the history of BBC2, and holds the record for a post-midnight audience for any channel in the United Kingdom" ...and yes, I was one of those 18.5 million. It was incredible to watch, I loved every minute of it egging on the 'underdog', and kudos to Dennis for this one off victory being world champion in his life. Hey you only have to do it one time eh, all the others are just gravy IMO.😍  1992: Stephen Hendry and Jimmy White. Get ready for a long story😎 I'd been playing at a high level for some 2 years, winning amateur competitions, playing in Pro-Am tournaments too with some respectful quarter-final results (often 128 starts so not too shabby). So I was good😎 My local club, which was a club in the Ritz snooker chain of clubs in Southern England (about 20 from memory) held a competition called "Speed Snooker": 3 official attempts only at potting yellow to black (6 balls off the spots) in the quickest time you could achieve. The competition run simultaneously the same night across all the Ritz clubs with about 900 players giving it a go ...the prize: An all expenses paid trip to the world final at the crucible in Sheffield.😲 A huge prize for its day as tickets and hotels weren't cheap and like rocking horse shit to get tickets for all 4 sessions to the world final. Lol, I won it outright with a time of 24.9 seconds on my 2nd attempt (afaik the world record is about 19 seconds) and that is pretty effing quick😲 If you ever want to try. let me know how you get on with this😂😲🙄 So, for 2 people, and a no-brainer, take my lovely dad with me. So off we went for the 3 nights at the Grosvenor hotel which was also the official hotel for the world snooker and the 'after party' too. We watched Jimmy White up against the then unstoppable number one Stephen Hendry and so it was a real treat as Jimmy was one of my favourite players at the time. After the first day and 2 sessions he was 14 to 8 in frames up against the final 7 time world champion Hendry ( a record that Ronnie O'Sullivan just recently equaled) and looked to be cruising his way to grab his 1st world title which he so deserved (to this day, he never became a world champion; so deserved to be yet wasn't meant to be). The next day Hendry came out like a beast and from memory also made 7 century breaks in the next 10 frames to then beat Jimmy White 18-14; it was just unbelievable sitting there watching this right in front of your eyes and being able to do nothing to sway the result. All credit to Stephen Hendry to come out 'guns a blazin' like this, but sad for the fans like me and my dad too. That was the bad part to the story, but the after party, which me and my dad had VIP passes to also was great🍺🍺🍺. It was such a treat for me and my dad and my dad loved every minute of this trip.😍 1998: Ken Doherty versus John Higgins. Why not, treat my dad😍 This time, "No free ride" but I was doing ok for cash so I treated my dad to another time around. However, tickets again rocking horse shit and even though I requested all 4 sessions, I only got 3; the first day and the final session on the last day. Ok, still going anyhow, no worries😎 Booked what was then a new hotel in Sheffield and only open a handful of months: The Starkis hotel and not so far from the crucible either, and lol was very popular and booked by many of the snooker pros too.😍 So off we go and what a lovely hotel it was. Watched the first two sessions and was good (I forget the score). That night with a bit of luck we were in the lobby/bar area in the hotel for a drink and along comes Cliff Thorburn (1980 World Champion, Canadian and the first non-uk winner of it ever) and we were in luck. Me, my dad, Cliff, and Len Ganley (top referee in world snooker at the time) sat down had a laugh, ate some food, and downed a few drinks. That was priceless and such an honour for me and my dad to be sat with a legend having a casual laugh and a chat.🙏 Our luck didn't finish there🙏 The next day, we didn't have a ticket for the third session, but I said to my dad, let's just go up to the crucible and see if we can buy some tickets outside ..never know yer luck. But nope, no one would sell us these golden tickets.😰 We were just about to admit defeat and leave as only about 5 minutes until the actual start and along comes none other than Sir Jeffery Archer with two body guards; Sir Jeffery was the chairman at that time of  the WBPSA (The snooker association) and walked past me and my dad. My cheeky dad said to him: "Alright for some eh, don't have to buy your ticket !!!". Little did I know at the time, as Sir Jeffery didn't respond, but it struck a chord in him and a couple of minutes later one of his big bodyguards came rushing out and said "Come with me !". Oh blimey, me and my dad were gob-smacked !!!. We were led up to the "royal box" where all the big boys sit to watch the snooker, a place reserved for the famous and so on along with Sir Jeffery. Like wow ! There we were being treated by others as like a "made-man" lol. Sir Jeffery leant across and said: "Now you don't have to pay either !!!" I never saw my dad become that humble so quick and it sure made our final day the most memorable I have of world snooker to this day.🙏 From that too, Sir Jeffery gave me and my dad back-stage passes so we took advantage of that and lol, afterparty passes at the Grosvenor hotel which we went to and I shook hands with John Higgins on his first world snooker victory against Doherty.😍😍😍 So there you have it, and my long essay🙏 Firstly, if you got this far then well done. 😍 I couldn't not mention all my three favourite memories of world snooker as to me they were all amazing in their own right. Dennis Taylor on the telly was awesome, winning the tickets and going was great but bittersweet as to Jimmy's defeat. But the last one with me, my dad, Cliff, and Sir Jeffery was just so super lucky and so memorable that me and my dad talked about this for years to come. It leaves a lump in my throat writing about it now; RIP dad miss you for the last 7 years. But hey, I get to see my lovely mom in person in 8 days time after 3 years apart due to all this covid stuff restricting travel, and sure we'll talk some more green baise. 😍 Snooker: In my heart and in the heart of my family too. 🙏 Cheers, CryptoGlyn. 🦆

Yep Darts is a sport eh😎 Refer to the board above if you don't know what's what or where's where😍 Now to the game👍 💎So in the table with an example of 3 players, each player in turn tries the following with 3 darts. Starting with 15 the idea is to score as many 15's as possible, that is then recorded in the column. Then 16 and so on until the bull is reached. 🍺So the 15,16,17,18,19,20 on the dartboard are quite easy to hit as you are aiming at single (white and black), Double (green/red outer circle), and treble (green/red inner circle) of that number thus a big target to score from. 🙄 🍺However, "Double" and "Treble" are small targets but you can go for any number.🤔 🍺41 (Grey on table): All three darts must be scoring darts and equal exactly 41 (e.g. single 17, single 19, single 5) IMO this is probably the hardest one out of the 10 rounds.😨 🍺Bull (Yellow on table): This is the very center circle of the board and in normal darts the red part counts as 50 and the green part as 25. But in this game both count as 50😎  💎So as the game progresses, as long as you score with at least one dart on each round (bar the 41 as must be all 3 darts exact) your score keeps going up, but if you fail to score on any round, your score is halved😲 (Note: rounded up for odd numbers) E.g. Tom on 15 gets two single 15's thus his score is 30. But then on 16 he fails to hit it at all and his score is now halved to 15. On the 'Double' he then gets one double 10 (=20) so his score goes up to 35 ...and so on👍 Now it may sound hard for some, but honestly it isn't and a poor player can often beat a good one by getting lucky at the end and hitting a Bull or two. Give it a try and make it interesting with a few 💲💲💲 or better still bottles of beer🍺🍺🍺. Played on Saturday with 4 of us, muchos fun drinking and talking rubbish lol🤪. Sport can be fun eh.😍 So pen and paper, copy the table, and play with any amount: 2 players and up.👍 Have fun and good practice too for proper dart playing also.😎   Cheers, CryptoGlyn 🦆

The masse shot😲 Try it & impress yer mates.😍

Now in Snooker or pool you can use this type of shot when you are "snookered" (cannot see the object ball in a direct line) and you can't see a way of going off a cushion/s using the angles that would be simple to hit the object ball. Below is a short video of some quality examples with two outstanding ones I will mark. Now the first shot in this video is not technically a masse but rather cued down as the distance was short and was for a pot. But Jimmy White pulls off an amazing masse (the best in the video) at @ 2" 37' . Incredible down force and accuracy to make the ball literally spin 90 degrees as a right-hander and then travel up the table to indeed hit the object ball. Another at @ 4' 35' by the legendary Steve Davis snookered behind the black to swerve round to hit a red with safety in mind too. If you watch all of this less than 5 minute video, the key isn't always power as some are compiled over short distances. The key is touch and accuracy👍 Knowing the nap of the table (how heavy is the cloth and which way do the threads run), where to strike the ball in a downward motion and how far to tilt the cue, and how much power to apply. Simple eh🤪 Took me literally years of practice to masse as accurate as Jimmy and Steve but yes I can🙏. On a pool table much easier, larger balls, smaller table and so on. So, next time yer down the pub, and obviously after a bit of practice in secret, on the pool table don't go for the cushion shot ...go for the masse😍 and scare the hell out of your opponent that you know what you are doing.😎 Can you do this? Have you tried? Have fun and if you like the green baize, post something up😍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Cheers, CryptoGlyn 🦆
