Darwin Nunez on No.9 pride, Luis Suarez and Copa America aims - Liverpool FC

Darwin Nunez has shared his pride at wearing the storied No.9 shirt at Liverpool. The Uruguayan claimed the squad number at the start of the 2023-24 season following the departure of Roberto Firmino.
Nunez wore No.27 in his first year as a Red after a transfer from Benfica but leapt at the opportunity to make the switch.

I think it's truly inspiring to see Darwin Nunez embracing the iconic No.9 shirt at Liverpool, following in the footsteps of legends who have graced the club. His admiration for Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani shows his respect for top players who have left a mark in the football world. It's amazing to witness Nunez's journey and his commitment to bringing joy to the club and its fans.

The bond he shares with Suarez in the Uruguay national team adds another layer of excitement to their Copa America journey. I believe Nunez's dedication and passion for the game will continue to shine brightly both at Liverpool and on the international stage.
