Striker Robert Lewandowski scored a late goal in the second half, allowing Barcelona to win 2-1 against Athletic Bilbao in an exciting match in the second round of La Liga on Saturday.

Young player Lamine Yamal opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 24th minute, then Bilbao equalized with a goal scored by Oihan Sancet in the 42nd minute from a penalty.

Lewandowski scored the winning goal for Barcelona in the 75th minute by following up on a ball that the goalkeeper saved but failed to hold. The veteran Polish striker thus played a pivotal role in leading the team to victory in their first two matches of the season, having also scored twice in their 2-1 win over Valencia in the first round.

Barcelona now shares the top spot in the league with Celta Vigo, both having 6 points, while Bilbao remains stuck at one point in 15th place.

In my opinion, had Hansi Flick replaced Xavi earlier, Barcelona would be in a completely different situation now. I am still surprised that Barcelona appointed Xavi as their coach, despite him never having coached any team in Europe before, with his only experience being at Al-Sadd. Flick, on the other hand, demonstrated real and enjoyable football in just his first two matches. This is the difference between hiring an experienced coach and hiring one with no coaching experience in football.

What Flick showcased in the matches against Valencia and Bilbao was an extraordinary style that only a few coaches in the world can master. He made Bilbao's players endure the toughest match of their careers today, as they couldn't even catch their breath. We're starting to see signs of Barcelona's return: high pressing, attacking power, and new ideas. This is the Barcelona that even its rivals missed.

With this performance and level of play, I believe everyone agrees that Barcelona won't be an easy opponent. Barcelona is returning to the forefront with this style and such a great coach.
